Have to admit this is a new one to me. Unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately) I never heard of it. Anyone else?0

New to me but read about it online. It depends on reason for the plural effusion. It could be treatment or medication or something else. The doctors should give you more information and if they don't volunteer it, push them for it. Good luck

I had thoracentesis back in 2014. It took three sessions to remove most of it. The little bit left over has turned to a jello consistency. Doesn’t bother me. It’s been 8 years and I have not had the fluid return. Everyone is different and you should talk to your Doctor about your concern. Hugs to you on your journey!0
