This sucks! Even though there's not much going on out in the world because of the covid virus, and we had canceled our plans to have family and friends over to our house, it still would be better than this! A late night bout with uncontrollable pain took me to the ER, I've been here all night and was admitted but still no doctor. These places run on sloooooowwwwwwww time.

Sorry for your bad luck Bob! At least you're probably in the safest place that you could be today. But, I know that there's no place like home!

I'm sorry to hear that you're in the hospital for the 4th of July, @BobsProstate. I hope that whatever the issue is, they can get to the bottom of it and get it fixed ASAP.

I hope they get to figure this out for you soon. Hospitals are not fun. Hugs.

That really s-u-c-k-s. I pray it's not covid 19 responsible for your hospital visit.

I have never been in the hospital on the 4th but I have been in the hospital twice at Christmas. It stinks even more because that's my birthday too. And yes, hospitals definitely run on slooooowwww time at holidays. I know there's no place like home, but you should definitely be in a safe place.

Thankfully, I am lucky enough to enjoy our seat at home tonight. However, I remember July the 45h 1988, I was in the hospital in Memphis, TN. with my first diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I Was there for a week when they put me in for my white blood count being too low and caused me to have a fever running over 105. I spent a week in there just taking IV antibiotics. One of those nights was July 4th.

I didn't spend holidays in the hospital. However the summer of 2010 every Holiday, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day found me in the ER. The 4th of July was particularly interesting because because It was a family reunion. My daughter ran into my niece when she was taking a restroom break, I seems that my nephew had had a seizure and was in the room, next to mine. I had thrown-up my nasal feeding tube and was choking on it . However my really unlucky day is my birthday.

Being in the hospital on a holiday is bad. I was in there over Thanksgiving last year, I hated that worse than anything. It was lonely knowing that the family was getting together and I couldn't be there. They did come see me and brought me a nice plate of good food. That was a bonus that day.

That is a bummer Bobs. Nothing like ending up in the hospital on the weekend, not to mention a Holiday. Not much happening until Monday I'm sure. How are you doing? Have they discovered why you were experiencing such pain? Sure hope you are doing better.
