Weird suggestions to gain immunity to Covid

People, please use some common sense and don't jump into some of these crazy suggestions. I just read where one of the things going around now is getting a polio vaccination because it's supposed to keep you from getting Covid. I'm not doctor, but if this were a real thing it would probably be suggested by read doctors. It's a shame that people are hurting themselves following the advice of idiots. In this case, I'm not sure how one would even go about getting a polio vaccination. Wouldn't a doctor have to give it?

Oh sheesh. The nuts really come out of the woodwork when there's a crisis. As cancer patients, many of us are accustomed to the "out there" advice for cures. Now, there's a whole new group of scared, frustrated people to try to sell their idiocy to.

I wonder if these people in NM were told that drinking hand sanitizer would cure them? https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/27/us/new-mexico-hand-sanitizer-deaths-trnd/index.html Wouldn't be surprised (though they may have just been trying to get the alcohol content - also a very desperate move).

As young children, our mothers taught us to stay out of that dangerous area under the sink that held the cleaning supplies and bleach. Did we somehow forget those words? Did it get thru our developing little brains that a skull & crossbones meant danger? Most did.
Well, it looks like to some who blindly follow the advice of ignorant government leaders, wacko religious nuts, and fake medical crackpots forgot what mommy told us.

Frankly, I am amazed by those who are taken in by such tripe. We were given brains and common sense, and learned logic during our lives. So unless there is a medical or physcological (sp.) reason otherwise, why should we feel sorry for these sheeples?

Okay, one thing - I have heard people with type O blood may have a bit more natural immunity than other blood types? There is no way I am going to seek out a polio vaccine, or drink a weird concoction of any kind, but I kinda hope the blood type thing is true because my blood type is O negative. (!) So many rumors these days, so much conflicting information, who knows what to trust? I'm just keeping my distance with my mask in place for now.

I like to just keep saying, "you can't fix stupid". And this is another example of it.

This reminds me of some of the things that I've been told about things I should have been eating or drinking to prevent cancer and I wouldn't have it.
