Scans, tests, surgery, covid tests, a new treatment plan? Do we have anyone that is finishing treatment and ready to get on with life? Let's hear what's happening.

Yesterday I had a total body bone scan so now I am radioactive for 2 more days. Oh, I meant to check last night to see if I glow in the dark by fell asleep and forgot. I have been having alot of pain in lower back, pelvis and legs so check to see if possible chemo/radiation related bone deterioration or, heaven forbid, signs of metastases to bone. Ain't that fun? Or, and I think of Charlie 1944 here, are these just signs of age related breakdown of the old bod. Either way, I need to find a way to relieve pain. One day it got so bad I finally resorted to oxicodone. Just one, but it knocked the pain right down and I can see how easy it would be to go back again, and again and......0

Have to go into the dreaded hospital for heart tests in a few days. I was assured that the place is safe, but who knows what lurks there. The tests are necessary, or I would not even go into the town where the hospital is located.
Bengal-- Be careful with that oxycodone, I know how bad back pain can be--- But a nurse & a doctor both told me that if you wait till the pain is unbearable & then take one, it is not as effective as getting control before it gets really bad. So sorry!0 -
Greg, I can't imagine facing a more challenging week than you are. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers as you undergo your scan and biopsies. I hope all turns out to be as well as possible.0

Molly72 I hear you on both counts. When I went to the hospital yesterday for my bone scan, as I was waiting 6 feet back, I heard the woman ahead of me at the screening station say, I'm here for my virus test". Gack! I did not need to hear that. Everyone had insisted going in for the test was completely safe. Sure.
As for the oxy, I had no intention of taking it at all. Don't want to end up on that rollercoaster. But the pain just got so bad I had to do something. I had a few tablets left over from my last surgery otherwise it never would have been an option.
And, Greg, my thoughts will be right there with you and your Sweetie as you get through this week and whatever comes after.0 -
Greg, we all will be wishing you the best on Wednesday. I know you will be glad to get it over with, again! Hopefully they will get that mess cleared up for good this time. Keep us posted!0
