Not so far. As it turns out, "This Old Cabin" has enough repair projects to keep me rather busy.

With the snow finally melting fast I can get outside and as po said, there's more than enough to keep me occupied with yard work, repairs, etc.... I'm pretty much of a loner anyway so so far I don't mind. It does bother me that I'm not allowed to visit my mother in senior care until further notice. She does not have a telephone and the in house phone service there is worthless. I was planning on going to my favorite pub on Tuesday for St Paddy's day but now wonder if that's wise.

I can always go to my workshop and work on something. I just finished building a crate for our crazy train Golden Retriever Puppy for his night time. He's still in puppy mode and can't be trusted out all night. There's no telling what we would wake up to. Next up is something for Sweetie.

I prefer to stay home a lot, but I really miss the freedom of being ABLE to take public transportation to food shop in Manhattan or be with friends. I’m thankful even more that I have my partner with me, even though I’m more worried about him than me, since he’ll be 77 at the end of this month (I’ll be “only” 72 at the end of April). And I’m thankful for social media (like WN!), email, phones. I may even start Skyping. And it’s good to rediscover my neighborhood instead of dashing to Manhattan for everything.

Today my congregation held virtual services. Bible Study, Prayer Group, and Cancer Support have been postponed indefinitely, however the church is working on a system of virtual meetings. Church and Bible Study have been a life-line since I was diagnosed. Bible Study exercises me both spiritually and mentally. Since the outbreak of the covid19 epidemic so many weeks ago Western Washington has been shutting down. I watch the news everyday that is I watch Governor Inslee's press conferences everyday. It calms my worries, I would rather know the truth and have practical suggestions how to deal it. Because of this I operate in a state of "functional panic" rather than full-blown irrational panic. Quarantine adds a whole new dimension of fear to cabin fever.

Since my knee surgery on Tuesday I have been knitting up a storm! We played card games today. And I haven't been watching much news at all. We will get through this. It's like a blizzard but no extreme weather conditions.

We're not on lockdown in NJ but advised limit exposure in stores and so much is closing. I sat down and made a short list of things to tackle around the house-things that are more quickly achieved or are portable. My long list is broken down room by room. lol I had bought a puzzle before this started and knitting or reading relaxes me.

Our governor has closed all schools. In addition, as of 9:00 yesterday night (that would be Sunday) all bars are closed and restaurants are limited to carry-out or delivery services only. He's warned that he will be closing day care centers. Oh, and I'm in Ohio.

BuckeyShelby we have the same precautions here.I have family in OH and WV. Our daycare, YMCA and all municipal offices, libraries including the police dept are closed to the public. The recreation dept and most schools are closed until at least the end of the month.

Turns out this may be helpful for self-isolation for the coronavirus.

Here in NYC all schools are now closed. Broadway is dark. St. Patrick’s Day Parade cancelled for first time since Parade began 250 years ago. No curfew (yet). No dining in restaurants, only takeout. We’ve become a city of physically isolated communities, sort of. Every day I give thanks for those who invented the Internet.

Isolation is really no problem for introverts!!!
As long as we have a supply of books, food, and toilet paper, we are good to go.
    We hate crowds.
