I woke this morning with ringing in my ears. I've never had this before now.

Is this a problem or side effect from chemo?

Do you have the consent to treatment forms" If so, I'll bet that tinnitus is one of the fairly common side effects. Still, call doctor, as it may indicate something else at work.

I have, after 32 years of dealing with all aspects of cancer treatments, including chemo way back in the beginning, I have noticed that I have developed this. It has started coming on in the last 6 months or so. So, for me, I can't say it was the chemo that did it unless it's a very long delayed side effect.

I have it pretty constantly. I went on biochemotherapy and that messed up my hearing. I have stage 4 melanoma

I've had increased ringing in my ears as well. I have Stage 3c melanoma and lately this ringing has increased. I've had it looked at, my hearing tests come back normal, there is no damage to my eardrums. I was to go see a specialist 3 1/2 hrs away this month but cannot afford the upfront costs to do so. I will deal with it as I can I guess.

It can be. My ears ring constantly. I tune them out on occasion, but they never quit ringing. Some people find listening to the radio or music helps them not be bothered by the ringing. I can't remember if my ears already rang before chemo or not - they definitely did thereafter.

I do. It came on shortly after my first chemo ended but, I was informed tinnitis was common with that drug. I sought relief a couple years ago from an ear, nose, throat practice who suggested hearing aids could help reduce the ringing but, the good ones are so expensive I couldn’t consider them.
