What about you? Do you read them? What are some of your favorites?

One of mine is "Up until today you have survived 100% of what has been thrown at you. You will probably survive today too."

Here's one that I recently had sent to me:
“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”

Mine is a John Wayne quote, "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway." We are all terrified at diagnosis and before so many scary procedures and getting chemo, but we know that we have to do it regardless of fear, and that's courage.

    I like yours too.

I love inspirational quotes and stories. Unfortunately, I don't retain them for very long. My mind is drawing a blank at a favorite to share, but I'm enjoying seeing everyone else's!!

When you come to the end of the road and must step off into the darkness, one of two things will happen. God will either catch you, or He will give you wings. I still have mine.

I have a rather dark view life. I have a few favorite "inspirational sayings" However I don't label them as inspirational sayings, I call them dis-inspirational sayings. My favorite is "What doesn't kill you gives you a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a really dark sense of humor.

@Live, I know exactly what you feel! I will see one that I love and will try to commit it to memory, 30 minutes later I can't remember it.

    And my all time favorite
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”

    ― Albert Camus
