Who would you say you have gotten the most support from?

A family member or friend? I've had a few friends that have far outdone my family. It's kind of sad really.

My family was great. And my friends did too. I guess I am really blessed.
Before my diagnosis, my son was in a serious accident. When I was ready for surgery, my sister and brother in law took the day off of work so that my son would not be alone during the hospital time. Mike stated with my son and they hung out, went for lunch, etc. While my sister in law came with my husband and I to the hospital. To me, that was just amazing.

Without doubt, my daughter, my granddaughter ,my son, my brother and my two best friends. Each of these people stepped up to the plate and showed me what real love looks like. They have taught me to reach out to others whenever I can so, in a way, pay it forward. I am blessed.

Too many to name took up a collection to help me pay for my Chemo not once but twice. You don't realize how much support you have (or don't have) until you go through something like cancer.

My husband and soulmate hands down. He was with me daily thru it all. Having said that, I received a bunch of support from my daughter who bought me goodies at the hospital when my appetite lagged and kept my spirit up through phone calls. My sons were also very encouraging . A big piece of my support also goes to my sister and brother in-laws who graciously opened their house to us on those long chemo days. They lived just a stones throw from the hospital where I had my surgery and chemo treatments ,and saved us a tiring 2 1/2 hour drive home on an already challenging day. I am so lucky to have great backup.
