I had the best surprise yesterday. Some old friends got together and dropped by to see me.

A group that we all went to school with years ago and have kept in touch with ever since. All of them stopped by our house out of the blue and presented us with 2,500.00 in cash to help with expenses getting back and forth to dr., and treatments, co=pay, etc. I was overcome with emotions. I don't think I've ever felt that way before. Sometimes when you are feeling at your lowest something or someone, drops by to pick you up!

    That is such a touching story! How kind and thoughtful of them. I think many of us get surprised by the kindness of others during our treatment.

    That is exactly how true friends act if they have the financial resources. How very thoughtful of them all. I know you can at least take a brief sigh of relief because of them. How very thoughtful.

    That is truly awesome. Like someone said in another question, this is when we find out who our true friends are. You obviously have some good ones backing you in your fight and this gesture was huge. Beautiful story!
