Thanks for supporting others by answering questions, offering advice and positive wishes! It does make a difference for them to see that other people have been there and are doing OK.

I was interested and encouraged to hear your radiation experience, I am in 4th cycle of carboplatin/taxol and have the symptoms the way you did. I am nervous of the radiation that comes next, since I already have had some of the side effects (blood clot and swelling, did PT for lymphodema, but I don't have that thankfully. do those exercises and keep moving every day even if it's a shuffle.0November 2015

I read thru your experiences. I have just finished chemo and about to start radiation. You mentioned internal radiation. I assume you are referring to brachytherapy. This is what I am considering and want to talk to someone that had experienced it. Let me know if this is what you had.0September 2015

Hello,
I'm not sure if I've already asked you about this or not, we are looking for a few people that would like to share their cancer journey story in a little detail for our WhatNexter of the week articles we post. You can see some of them on our blog page here www.whatnext.com/blog and scroll down until you find a WhatNexter of The Week article. If interested we would need you to write us a little biographical piece describing your diagnosis, treatments, and how you're doing. You can look at some of the previous posts for an idea.
Let me know if interested, and if so email it to greg @ whatnext . com
Thanks for your input on the site!

Thanks for your post regarding my daughter. I just recently read up on the Phoenix bird after you related your screen name and pic. Very inspirational. My daughter sings for choir she gave up on musical instrument part. She's an active runner, runs out her thoughts you could say. Thanks again and hope you have a great day!0February 2015

Thanks Phoenix . The Dr was explaining something similar with the same drugs you took. I wasn't sure if I remembered correctly.
I am meeting with the surgeon who will install the port on Friday and then he will schedule me. I am approved for both just waiting for the port to start chemo. I just would like this to be over so I can live back to my normal routine.0February 2015 -

Yes, people should live by 2 Timothy 7th verse. I was once timid, and the Lord changed that. My mom use to say when I was young, "speak up, speak up!" I would feel so bad. When I moved from what was a small town many years ago (Hackensack, N.J.) to a New York City tenement, I cried everyday and was genuinely afraid of area. I had lived in a middle-class neighborhood. Before I graduated High School, my grandmother who raised me passed. It was understood that after I graduated from High School, I was to go to my mother's apartment in the tenements, in Bronx, New York. When I arrived in New York City I was a mouse. Over the years, I have become the mouse that ROARS. A man about 40, rushed to get a seat on the bus as I was about to sit down. I said forcibly, " Oh no you don't. You better back off mister." He backed away and continued to hold on to the overhead straps. I love myself now. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.0October 2014

I have been so busy. It keeps my mind from thinking about the cancer. I made earrings, I revised a song I wrote, I bought a tablet and love the brain challenging software I've loaded on it....also I like some stupid talking dog free downloads, gave clothes and shoes to those who needed them ( I was given beautiful clothes and shoes by two businesswomen who were moving out of the complex) and other activities. I hope you are feeling as well as can be expected. I think I told you that my new tumor stopped growing. My cancer has not advanced. I swear by the Graviola that I take. It is antitumorous. May God bless you with no pain. Ivy J0October 2014

Thank you so much for your reply. Today has been a frustrating, angry, not feeling good or very grateful day. I appreciate it very very much.0September 2014

Hi Phoenix, my journey has been a lot like yours, including issues with my port insertion. I have to tell you though that I do not miss my uterus, but I do have a huge scar that starts above my belly button to remind me it is gone - very large tumor 14+cm & leiomyosarcoma so no laser or robots for my hysterectomy!
Anyway, welcome to the group. I hope you find the support & answers you need & if I can help please let me know!
I am wondering why they waited so long to start your treatment? 7 months seems like a long time when you are talking about cancer.
Keep us posted.0July 2014 -
