According to the National Cancer Institute,10 other studies have shown high-dose vitamin C can help slow the growth of prostate, pancreatic, liver, and colon cancer cells. The institute also recognizes human studies showing IV vitamin C can help improve symptoms associated with cancer and cancer treatment, such as fatigue, nausea, vomiting, pain, and loss of appetite.
Despite all of these benefits, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved IV high-dose vitamin C for the treatment of cancer or any other disease.

Share with your friends that get cancer. Half of American men will get cancer. It is the increased toxic burden of the USA now. People should not just blindly trust their Doctor. Don't just be pushed into chemo or radiation . Most Doctors only know what they learned in med school. Nothing about nutrition.

    • Mitochondria, tiny inclusions in your cell, were originally thought to be derived from bacteria. Most cells have several thousand of them comprising 15 to 50 percent of the cell volume. They’re the source of over 90 percent of your body’s energy
    • Your mitochondria have enormous potential to influence your health, specifically cancer, and optimizing mitochondrial metabolism may be at the core of effective cancer treatment
    • Important nutrients and co-factors for mitochondrial function include all B vitamins, magnesium, omega-3 fat, CoQ10, acetyl L-carnitine, D-ribose, and alpha-lipoic acid. EXERCISE is also important for mitochondrial health and function

cam32505, you mentioned in one of your answers to a question that you have a check-up coming up in a couple of weeks and also that it's always an anxious time. It sure is! Very best wishes to you and please let us know how it goes. Thinking of you.

Thanks for your response. I had surgery in March 2015 and 6 weeks ago finished 6 rounds of chemo. Even though my cancer was gone with the surgery, my Dr wanted chemo as a preventative to it spreading. My next decision is external radiation or brachytherapy or both. Have you had either type of radiation?

I'm new to this, guy is a Kaiser patient in LA, is not coping well with loss of job and they are delaying his benefits. He is not the ideal patient and won't let me help him. We have three teenagers, they are taking it well, but he is Mr. Stubborn-won't let me meet with dr's we argue about me letting me help him, so I leave him alone because that's all I can do. I feel totally helpless and angry that it is ok for him to help everyone else but not ok for me who has been with him for 23 years to react normally and try to help him. We have no family, he has always played the role of Doer and Fixer. and does not believe in God just wants to drink some beers and he has hep c caused cancer. He just says it's all taken care of in the insurance policies and he plans on doing what he's doing and going to oregon to do the assisted suicide thing. but he really doesn't feel the pain yet; cancer is limited to liver. I've seen what cancer does AND HE'S LUCKY! Please forgive my rant, but I don't know what do do please help!

Thanks for replying to my question. When I was first diagnosed in 2011, I had a complete hysterectomy followed by 25 radiation treatments and 4 brachytherapy . To this date I am completely cancer free in that area. In 2014 I had a recurrence in a lymph node in my neck and two small spots in the chest. I did 19 radiation treatments to the neck and 6 rounds of chemo . Just had a per scan and a spot showed on my shoulder blade so I am going to start radiation next week for that. I am an otherwise healthy person. I just don't understand why it wont leave me. I am trying to be positive because I have done this before but I also don't want to start glowing in the dark.

Thankfully I was diagnosed with stage 1A however, the cancer is grade 3 warranting further treatment. I am in the middle of chemo right now having just finished my third of six infusions of Taxol/Carbo. I will be finishing up with radiation. I seem to be handling the treatments well with minimal side effects. I too am glad to be alive.

Thank you for your feedback on my question about sleep. Being hypothyroid myself, I understand about how hard it is to get the right dosage adjusted. It's a very narrow therapeutic window, isn't it? Before I got my blood levels back up, I felt like a 90 year old woman and was on the couch far too much. Take care.

Hello, Cam. I'm new to this venue but I can see that I'm not actually alone. I don't have anyone I can talk to about how I feel or what I need right now. My husband won't even acknowledge that I was ever sick.

I am so sorry for all these great losses in your life. Each person was a special person in your life. Some deaths are easy to understand but a suicide, leaves so many unanswered questions. Some of which you will never know the answers. I am not authority on loss. But have had my share. My grandma told, me when she lost her son, at 19. You don't ever get over it, but you just learn to live with the hurt. So I pray you will find peace in the midst of this storm..

I read your post about your friend; I think I can relate - my MIL committed suicide. It is so devastating for the living! Your friend sounded like she was very self-centered, which is sad. I'm sorry for the hurt you felt from her. I hope that whether you go or not, that the funeral will lay to rest all the pain.

Thanks cam. For your post regarding my daughter. Early days she would just stare at me and didn't want to leave for school or friends house. Every morning when I was sickest with the ileus she was afraid I wouldn't come home from hospital. So sorry for your losses as such a young age. You and I have often been so similar in our responses to others . Even though we don't know one another outside of whatnext it's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance here just sorry for the reason we have met but glad we did. Hope you have a great day.

To Cam 3205, Thank you for answering my question. It helped. Was wondering if you could share more about the radiation. Like side affects, was it internal or external? I see the oncologist on Feb 18. They will set up the Hysterectomy then. Cancer is stage one. Thanks for answering.

    Hello;
Happy Birthday my friend. I hope you are doing okay dealing with the loss of loved ones. So very difficult, I know.
I would like to ask if you had bracytherapy treatment? My sister is now doing radiation, but will at a later date due interstitial bracy.
    Bless you.
