You are right and not mean at all. I asked the question in a waek moment and realize how superficial it was. I am removing the question. Thank you for being candid.

Hi meyati. As you know from my pinboard post we had a wonderful Christmas with out daughter and granddaughters. We got home Jan. 8. Our basement, my sewing/craft room, got flooded while we were away and my son was checking on the house when he discovered it. It rained so hard that the water came up from under the house and through the garage. Now we have to rip up the pergo flooring and hang new drywall. My son had to rent a pump to get the water out of the house. What a mess. It is going to take time to fix the mess because we have to wait until paydays to buy what we need to make the repairs. What a thing to come home to after such a lovely holiday. Oh well, that s life. Hope you had good Christmas.

I just play them my song that wrote about this.
I don't have any friends or family so nobody tells me anything. I have friends on facebook and e-mail but I'm pretty much a Hermit. My wife doesn't say anything. Don't forget that I'm NOT Sick yet....so that's great. Have a great trip to Japan. Barry

I'm watching "Say Yes to the Dress". I must be retarded. Thousands of dollars on a wedding dress. Had a friend said she had not finished paying for her daughter's wedding before they divorced. Little off topic. Sorry, feel like talking to you.

Sounds like an "overdone intellectual". Think he is saying a good laugh, even faked, is good. Think we know that. Don't believe I could laugh myself out of Amyjo's situation. Need to look at his Wall. How you feeling?

2 tagamets a day usually works but lately I guess I irritated the esophagus too much and it needs to heal. SO I'll take this stuff for 3-4 weeks. I hated to take this when I was younger as I knew it wasn't good for you BUT NOW....lol....who the hell cares....I just don't want heartburn now. I have had this since I was in Junior High. Had the scope down about 20 years ago and they said it looked all red and gave me Prilosec for a month and helped. BUT it just comes back. Apparently the one way valve into the stomach is going both ways and when I bend and twist when I'm working here or at my studio or bend over.....it squishes up and it starts all over again. I've personally kept the Tums Business afloat.....lol

I've been using Afrin ( generic now ) for most of my life. Had nasal polyps in my 20's and had surgery. After that NOTHING opened my nasal passages except that and I use it a few times a year forever...Can't live or breath without it. I HATE meds but some help and I take....I take Prilosec for GERD....had that most of my life and nothing helps but that.....SO.....what's a fella to do. Going to the Library and will be back later....B

    Hi Meyati,
I hope you got a chance to enjoy the holiday weekend.

One of our partners is looking for advanced basel cell carcinoma (e.g., cancer has spread to organs or bone) patients willing to participate in a 60-minute telephone interview.

Participants who qualify, and complete the interview, will receive a check for $125.

I thought you might know some people. If you do know some folks, I would really appreciate it if you could invite them to see if they qualify for the study. For everyone you refer to the study that ends up participating, I will be happy to pay you a $50 referral fee.

The link to the qualification questionnaire is below.

    http://survey.quickquest.net/TakeSurvey.asp?PageNumber=1&SurveyID=3K09p72L3pl4I7

Thank you in advance for your help. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Meyati! Just wanted to reach out and check in with you..... Your last post was interesting- i never realized saying the alphabet using flower names could keep me from needing my daily pain meds--- geeze are these folks really serious ?! I'm betting the facilitators are not patients!

Sounds like you have had your share of cancer in the family. Amazing you have managed to keep your sense of humor.
Feel free to vent on my wall anytime !

Hi. Just wanted to tell you my stepfather was retired Navy. Your comment about the coffee sounded so much like him. Before Katrina we use to get guys from the military retirement home shopping and they were always such a hoot. They use to say they loved the retirement home because you could get up at 4 AM and coffee would be made and someone to "shoot the XXXX with. By the way it has been rebuilt now and the guys and gals back where they wanted to be - in the South and away from Washington DC where they had been relocated. Of course my stepfather was WWII.

I haven't identified triggers particularly. It seems like my brain says, enough, and I am a beast for several days. I do have chronic depressiion and on meds for that. Hugs.

For the mouth sores...my doctor suggested L-Glutamine. It is not expensive and it calms my mouth instantly. I put a tablespoon in a cup of water and rinse my mouth. I put it in juice and ingest it for all kinds of benefits..the most dramatic being the lessening of pain in my feet from neuropathy. It doesn't have much of a taste.

My stepfather was retired Navy and filling out military forms for my mother was impossible. Fortunately I live near Ft. Campbell and they have an office of base of retired vets available that helped me immensely. Looked up his service record, filled out papers, submitted them. I don't know why they make it so difficult.
