Thanks Ivy....I took it for awhile but NOW can't afford anymore stuff. I'm still ok....found a new node under my arm but 3 in groin disappeared. Neck some smaller and others the same.

Just thought I would ask how you are doing. We "more mature" folks have to keep up with one another.

Hey Ivy....Loved your Poem and it really made me think. It's SO Ironic that cancer is really our OWN cells not behaving in a harmonious way......SO maybe we should approach our Mental and Emotional thoughts to be more loving and understanding. We are NOT at war with the cells we just need to try and fix the immune system so it can JUST do the job it was born to do. Good Work and keep them coming. What did you do in the real world?

Hi Ivey: I'm a pianist too! I played professionally all of my adult life- until a little over a year ago.... Now I'm painting with acrylics! That gives me the same comfort & joy you've described in some of your posts! The arts are so, so good for the soul!

Hey Ivy.....Glad your enjoying the old Piano. I play all the time but mostly to compose new songs. I have Yamaha Electric with all the rhythms and bells and whistles. Songwriting has Always been my saving Grace....Glad your enjoying the music.

I'm not too naive. What a school district gets depends on the demands and participation of the population. We had a year, where all sorts of people made a migration from your region and the rust belt. In the next election for state bonds, these people voted against school bonds because they didn't want to pay extra taxes. Nothing for education, libraries, museums, art, the state orchestra.-which sounds like what you are complaining about.

They did vote for senior centers, free meals for seniors, free trips for seniors, hot tubs, crafts, for the University to have special classes for senior education-how to run a PC, use Power Point, golfing classes. That was the only school bond that passed.

Everybody that I knew voted against senior healthcare, senior centers and their buses, against employees, against meals on wheels, meals at centers, against senior education, against senior anything. This happened 3 elections in a row. Stupid Fs

When they went to complain to the county commissioners, the State Commission of Senior Affairs, state legislators, etc. These selfish stupid cry babies were told that the state government received thousands of letters from New Mexicans that were enraged about the negative votes on school, library, art, music bonds, and we would no longer vote for perks for senior citizens.

The Governors of the Indian Reservations made statements about the selfishness of the retirees from your area. The Council of Indian nations made a public plea to not vote for senior perks until schools, libraries and children's' programs were again funded. The members of the VFW, and other veteran organizations promised to vote against funding senior projects, and most members are seniors.

People asked my opinion. I told them that I would not vote for any senior project, and I was ashamed of being called a senior because of the selfishness that was shown. These horrible people joined and created senior associations after their goodies dried up. Finally the associations went public, and said they were dedicated to supporting school bonds. That year, they barely passed bonds for senior projects.

It took me 15 years before I would vote for any senior project. By the way, I taught bi-lingual high school math at the poorest school in central New Mexico. I wrote my own books and lessons because they needed to be Spanglish. I also possess a military security clearance, and lived in Spain and Mexico. I was on my own.

Maybe your cancer problems could have been caused by stupid American doctors? I had a visible cancer above my lip. I spent over 20 years trying to get it removed. It's too little, you can't tell me how to practice medicine, it would ruin your face and it's so pretty, it would leave a hole in your face and ruin it, if I took cash for this while you have 2 types of insurance I could be facing charges with the licensing board, I talked to my peers and they say it's too little to remove, it's not rooted, you are too vain, a little blemish won't hurt you.

I went to PCPs, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, general surgeons, oncology dermatologists, flight surgeons, even asked gynecologists about this. I tried military doctors, civilian doctors that were in the 4 non-military hospitals. I went to doctors in different counties. I went to the doctors that took care of university students. Now one of those said-You've had this for 3 years. Why don't I sign you up for the dermatology students. So 2 times a year for 3 years, I sat naked in a room while 20+ dermatology students looked at every wrinkle and crack. On the last year, a male student said-"That thing on her lip really bothers me. You just told her that you said it wasn't anything to be removed last year. Can't we take it off and see what it is for science?" The head dermatologist called this young man horrible names. Then a female-told the doctor that it should be removed. She was called names. I never did that again.

I got a doctor that got tired of looking at it. It's a rare and aggressive incurable cancer. I'm in remission. If I don't pass from something else, it will come back and tunnel through my brain. I've been told by different oncologists that it's one of the most painful cancers around. When I was a kid, I saw a man where it looked like he had gravel under his skin. I pointed him out to my Dad. My father told me the man got it from using a flamethrower in the Pacific- and the ex-marine would probably kill himself in 6 to 9 months. The man used a pistol. Mine was from surfing, fishing, etc. It's also called Fisherman's cancer. The UV rays reflected from water to under my nose, even though I wore a hat.

All of the money in the world doesn't cure stupidity, arrogance, lack of curiosity, and a few more things.

Thanks Ivy....I take 6 anti cancer supplements now and will add this...can't hurt. I never took any treatment and am still here a year after diagnosis. Who knows HOW long any of us has.

OMG My Dr. Doom has a Twin in NYC I have once passed my Dr. Doom's expiration date and looks like I will pass it again. My Dr. Doom does not believe in miracles either. After I had passed the first expiration date by a year, he said "Congratulations you have clean scans." I replied "Don't congratulate me, It is the work of the Lord" He quite literally fell into a chair. Then he stammered and said "I really mean I an happy for you" He has now said that If I walk into his office with clean scans in 2018. He will believe in God and miracles.
Well the sun is about to come up. It is my custom to pray as the sun rises over the mountains and thank God for each day. I will pray for your continued remission.

Hi Ivy! I was diagnosed with small intestinal carcinoid cancer in May of 2013. It had already spread to my liver and was causing all sorts of nasty hormonal affects on my body. I'm currently being treated with a palliative care shot once every 28 days. It pretty well controls the bad episodes of carcinoid syndrome that this tumor causes. I did have surgery and they were able to remove a metastasized tumor from my small intestine, but they have not found the primary tumor.

I want you to know that my thoughts are with you. Cancer of any kind is not a road anyone wants to travel, but if we have to, we need to do it with as positive attitude as we can, and it sounds like you're doing just that.
