Hi there drlloyd0907,dropped by to tell you I will be in Fresno this week. Arriving on Tuesday so perhaps we can get together over a coffee on Wednesday or Thursday. Since we will be way up near Clovis you name the where that is convenient for you and we will let the GPS guide us.

Hi there lady. Yes, we both had that "oh no " moment about the same time. How are you doing? Imagine all your hair has grown back and your busy out and about. I am still going for every three month checkups and of course grow anxious at these times but otherwise things are good with me.

Hi lady, congrats on having a clear scan.you have had a rough go this past year but glad your past it. Sounds like you are receiving very good medical care and they are keeping a watchful eye on you. Just this past week I went in and was tested for the BRCA1 and 2 mutations. I only have one breast and ovarian cancer in my family tree that I know of but there are so many blanks , especially on my father's side of the family. If I am negative for the BRCA then have to decide if I want further genetic testing. It is wonderful the inroads in cancer treatments as a result of mapping the human genome. Will not be traveling to Fresno to visit my daughter this Christmas since the Weather Gringe calls for fog and possible sleet along the way, so we will have a Skype Christmas. So glad you connected with me. Have a wonderful holiday season. Look forward to talking more with you anytime.

Hi drlloyd0907, found myself diagnosed with IIIC ovarian cancer just five months ago and like you my world changed. Had chemo, debulking surgery, and am currently half way through my IP chemo. My family found this site for me and it has helped so much. Everyone on the site is fighting the same battle. Each has different experiences and information they share. Sometimes people share a funny picture or saying, laughter is a weapon too. We all care and are here to help anyway we can. So vent, ask questions or share your journey . Take care.

Have serous uterine. Found that 48 hours after chemo I felt awful. Neulasta gives me bone pain, neuropathy. Wonder if feet will ever feel just half way right again. All Claritin did was put me in a bad mood. Had 6th chemo yesterday (final). We pretty much share same treatments but you will find lots of people that share yours.

    Hi drlloyd0907,
I see you are having IP/IV chemo...I have been on IV chemo three times a month since the first week of November...in April they will be putting the port in for. IP chemo. To be quite honest it scares me. How are you handling it?

Welcome to What Next. I'm glad you found us, but sorry you had to. I just want you to know, I was DX on January 25th 2006 with Stage IV Ovarian.... On February 23 I'll be eight years cancer free. I did have chemo for almost two years... the GYN/Oncologist Surgeon removed a 39 lb. tumor of my right ovary and my left ovary then he removed all the cancer he could find. (I'd had a hysterectomy 20 years earlier...) It wasn't an easy path, but it was totally doable...

You have a very handsome young man in your arms in pic. He has a beautiful "Hugger".

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
