How Tall are you and HOW much do you way....AND how much did you weigh before D Day? Sometimes the Docs worry about the weight for nothing.

Make Large Protein Shakes with 2 bananas and lots of berries and whey protein powder....drink as often as you want. Make it sweet IF you need to with stevia......You can put Frozen Yogurt and or even some ice cream sold in the health food store.

Also I was losing weight and added these delicious Whole Grain Sweet Onion (natural flavor) Wheat Thins from Nabisco....It's probably not the greatest for me but I went from 163 to 143 in 1 year and NOW it finally stopped ( I Hope) I'm Five Ten and thin and OLD...lol

I eat nuts and seeds all day....I just added delicious raw Cashews and Sweet Pecans.....ALSO.....almost forgot.......Manna Bread from the Health Food Store.....comes in lots of styles but I get the fruit and nuts one and I eat it with raisins and sunflower seeds for my breakfast. It tastes like Cake....ummmmmmm. Barry

    Hey Angel Dancer,
Let me tell you what I eat EVERY Day always the same.

Start out with apple cider vinegar / stevia......5,000 mg if vitamin C Powder and a small bit of glutamine powder.

Then I have a cup of black coffee and a bunch of walnuts.

Then I have about an our later a large scoop of Garden Of Life Super Food Powdered Green drink.....large Tablespoon of whey protein powder and a t spoon of psyllium powder.

half our later a nice slice of Manna Bread ( Nuts and Raisin Kind ) and a LOT of pumpkin seeds and 2 small packs of raisins.

about 2 hours later I have lunch.....Bunch of Pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, a banana, Black raspberries and small pack of raisins all mixed up with a lot of stevia to make it sweet and sunflower seeds mixed in a large bowl along with raw cashews. At about 3 pm I have another cup of black coffee and 10 small whole grain onion crackers.

T 5:00 pm I have about 20 garbanzo beans and a bunch of small carrots and a dill pickle.....at 6 pm I eat different organic bean/veggie/tomato soups.....health food store or supermarket. I can't afford everything organic so I do the best I can....with the soup I have more of those crackers, tomatoes, colored sweet peppers, cucumbers....I add onion and canned peas to the soup. I also eat sour kraut.....At 8:30 I eat another banana with raw cashews and delicious sweet pecans.....On Saturday Night I go out with my wife to the Restaurant and have salmon and a sweet potato and broccoli and large salad or salad bar if they have......that's it......Hope it helps...I also take about 6 anti cancer supplements and others and PRAY a Lot.....

    Angeldancer,
Thanks for your kind words. I always thought I understood what my mom was going through with her cancer. She was so brave and such a trooper. I on the other hand am a nut case!! Ha ha but I am learning. I used to have a full blown anxiety attack just getting a flu shot. I am getting daily B12 shots and weekly blood draws through my port. I laugh as I like to say I am NOT a type A personality and my friends just laugh. It took me four months of being in bed to wrap my head around all of this. And I am still learning but I do try to make the most of things and not take myself so seriously.

Hi there angeldancer, I hope all is well, I've read your posts and your in my thoughts & prayers! Since I didn't go further with Oaxiplatin, & doing Xeloda alone, I've resumed to my normal activities, working part time at the office and exercising/trying to do a clean diet (no meat whatsoever). But enough about me, I will continue to keep you in my prayers and hope for the best for you.

    Hi Angeldancer

No I did not get from a nurse. The doctors think I got durning surgery because staff was on the left side where cut part of my colon out and removed it.

You are NOT passing out from eating raw plant foods that were designed specially for humans. It's appalling that your Doc would be SO ignorant of nutrition to say that...ugh! Plant food, clean water, juicing and anti cancer supplements cannot make you worse and MAY help is improving your situation. Nothing is certain but try and keep the HEALING Diet going as you certainly have nothing to lose and while you are doing it OTHER conditions you may have been developing MAY get better.....AND Pray!!

    Hey Angel,
Why not STOP all the treatments as it seems like they will kill you before the cancer. The Docs DON'T like to stop them till you are almost dead.
Why not concentrate on Healing. Don't worry about weight or anything but if you STOP all this Poison MAYBE your body will start to feel better....can't feel any worse.
I know I have no right to tell ANYBODY what to do BUT sometimes common sense HAS to prevail and I think this is a No Brainer.
Have you ever checked out the site Chris Beat Cancer etc. Have you read the new book RADICAL REMISSION by Kelly Turner Phd.?
Don't get mad at me BUT this sounds like the best solution for YOU...Stop the Poison and start the Healing and Leave the rest in Gods Hands.
    Good Luck!
Check my site for some ideas.
You cannot feel any better with all this poison. It's bad enough that the cancer can make us feel awful sometimes these harsh treatments are over kill.

Hi, been thinking of you and just wanted to check back since it has been about a month since I saw and commented on your painful situation dealing with the implanted port. As a fellow Stage III colorectal cancer "buddy" that also had the port, I was hoping you found resolution and that now there is no longer any pain and you have found a level of comfort in using it for easy infusions and blood draws. Keep the faith.

Wow. You have had it hard. I think a conference call with your doctors is in order. The bottom line is, you make the final call. If the surgeon feels the tumor is removable, I would think it would be better to wait on chemo or radiation until after surgery. Of course I would add your immunologist to the discussion. Best of luck with your treatment and decisions.

Insulin is a growth hormone and stimulated cancer to grow. When blood sugars are high a lot and surging our insulin levels are constantly surging in our blood stream. SO it's a double wammy.

I was staged after the colonoscopy and the MRI of the pelvis and CAT scan of the Abdomen and chest, which they repeated because they thought they saw some ickiness in my liver. Turned out to be fluid filled cysts which were confirmed by ultrasound.

Chemo and Radiation are both way down on my fun list. Radiation being the worst because of the damage to surrounding tissue. In my case, the urethra and bladder. There are certain chemos worse than others. For example Oxiplatin has some terrible side effects.

There is a study going where they omit radiation for stage 2 cancers. I entered it but got chosen to take the radiation.

Sorry it took so long to get back. Missed your original post.

Angeldancer, I am your age and stage II. Like Lilymadeline I believe the most aggressive. Both my surgeon and my oncologist agreed that chemo was necessary. Chemo was hard for me but I don't regret it. I didn't have any second opinion because my situation was so crazy...that I completed trusted the people that saved my life. But both my surgeon and my oncologist told me I had every right to get another opinion. I would have if I wasn't comfortable with them. Get as many opinions as you need until you feel good about your drs and your tx plan. You need to feel you are all on the same team for this fight. Best wishes!! I will keep you in my thoughts! :)
