Kickasscowgirl....What a wake up call...Thank you!!!..I heard the word Terminal and could feel myself shrink into nothing; feeling useless and almost a waste of time because it is over. So worried about my daughter who will be left here without me. Maybe not/Guess not...Thanks - Soni

Thank you for the kind words and advice. It really helps. Its nice to know what you as a patient and a mom likes to get/ hear from your children. I didn't want to feel like a burden worrying my mom with how I was feeling (stressed and a lil overwhelmed) especially with how she was already feeling. I try to let her know my worries about it but, more so than not, I like to just stay positive. Seeing her feeling bad makes it hard to want to be positive about her throwing everything up and looking/ feeling so miserable. But I just kiss her and tell her I love her and that everything will be ok. I recently found out that my friend, that I've known for some years now, that his cancer never really went away. He had a ct scan earlier this week and won't get the results til Monday cuz he missed his Doc appt today due to work. I am nervous for him and scared so that doesn't help things at all. It feels like its so much at such a short amount of time. Not to mention I just moved to TX 3 months ago and don't really know anyone. I am just glad to have my boyfriend that knows how I am feeling. His mom passed away in Feb 2009 from cancer. Its nice to know that he knows how to help me. :) It means so much what you wrote and the examples you gave me that I can do with my mom. I think your kids are wonderful for being so strong and doing those things for you. I know I have the strength and attitude to be able to stay positive and upbeat for her.... I just hate having those days/ moments where I feel like I don't have it there.

One Day at a Time. :)

Hi Kickasscowgirl! LOVE the name! Not much of a cowgirl myself as I live in New York City. I do think I have a bit of a cowgirl spirit though ;) I hope your feeling well and treatment going good. Be blessed! Cheers, Marianne

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

    www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
