Thanks so much for answering my question about the side effects of arimidex. There were no blood clots and am waiting for a call back from the oncologist. Hopefully he can figure it out. The Doctors in other facilities that are not familiar with homone therapy drugs do not have a clue. Thanks again.0May 2014

I hope all is going well for you. You made it through chemo. I hope the neuropathy is gone. For me, after the second mastectomy, 5 months later, I had hematomas formed and they were drained 5 successive times and they would never resolve. It got so uncomfortable that August I had surgery and have an even bigger scar since they had to cut me wide open again. It was like having a third mastectomy which is weird since I only had two boobs to start with. An amazing 250cc of blood and a bunch of tissue was removed that they called capsules. Hopefully this is the end of the saga...five surgeries in 2-1/2 years. I am so worn out.0August 2014

Re: DES Daughters. How to find out? Well, it's tough to do. My mom's doctor has died, plus the clinic where I was born has been replaced by a hospital...and I don't know how long they keep records. Mostly, I know I'm a DD because mom had a miscarriage before she had me, I had a pre-cancerous cervix, my hysterectomy revealed endometriosis, a cyst and fibroids, a deformed uterus and finally, 2 bouts of breast cancer. I'm thinking the county health department might be of some help--? Good luck in your search.0December 2013

Thanks so much for your post! I was initially diagnosed in Dec '08 - to have a recurrence before hitting my 5 yr mark was devastating to say the least!!!! Thank goodness for this site - I'm finding more & more of us who have experienced a recurrence!!! What type of treatment are you on right now? So glad you have a great husband who stands with you & supports you through this. My husband has been my rock through all of this - don't know what I would've done without him!!! And my kids!! They are my life!!! I thank God for each day that I'm given - I pray He will allow me many many more!!! I will be praying for you as well.0September 2013

Thank you so much.
Yes, we survived for a reason, and I'm trying to live out that reason everyday, by sharing my experiences with others. I've written two inspirational books and have another one in the process of publication now. I believe that's my calling.
God Bless and keep you!0July 2013 -
Thanks for responding. I hate the "smacks" a/k/a surprises. I've learned a lot and have lost some respect for the docs.0July 2013
