Laying around is good.I wish I could lay around but I'm always so nervous I can't sit still. With all that everyone on here goes through, this sounds so silly. I really should just be grateful that a PET is all I need( except for the lung surgery on the 16tth !!! ) I'll let you know the results when I get them. Take care Greg. Zoe

Can you suggest the best way to get participants for my survey? I am only targetting men, but would like to post info that will reach men with any diagnosis. I could prepare a blog post, with a lot of background info on men and support seeking (they generally don't), and the benefits of support. Any ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated.

Thx GregP. Yes that's me. It was the North Shore of Honolulu. Jumped from 14,000 ft. Tandem jump, 2 min free fall over pacific. It was whale season....breathtaking. Landed softly on land. Hope to return to do it again. Hope all is well with you.

Hey Greg, just saw your post about your carotid and your upcoming stent. My wife had some circulatory issues a few years ago (non-cancer related) and a stent was one of the options that we looked at. They are doing amazing things with them, they have been using them for heart vessels for quite a few years now and more recently have started using them in the brain with great success. Am sure all will go well for you on Tuesday.

So glad you went to the ER, praying and hoping for your healing soon.

Hi Greg: I've never knew Radiation can cause the carotid artery to become blocked. I am so happy you knew what to do and are alright. Praying for a speedy recovery for you.

Greg, you asked me to get back to you about my sore throat. I've had strep for almost 3 months. I told my PCP that the radiologist said that this type of fatigue and my throat aching wasn't from radiation. My temp was 96, my throat wasn't red or inflamed, but the strep test showed a very hot result. My children have normal temps, but exhibit only loss of appetite and fatigue. All of us were tested to see if we were strep carriers. We aren't carriers-just atypical. Thanks for encouraging me to get to the bottom of this. When I got the test result back, I cried and said-I knew that I wasn't crazy. It's so sad, but my goal is to get back to the health I had when radiation ended.

Thanks to you too. It's easy to lose weight when you can't eat anymore.IBut you made it and I will too. My oncologist told me in 2 weeks I should be as good as new. 7 more radiation treatments. I'll make it, the end is near, then a 6 week break untill round two of radiation.
