I hope you sign in and see this message. You and I have the same diagnosis. I would like to hear from you. Before I leave a lot of information on this post, I will wait to hear back from you.

Hi! I am following a schedule of chemo very similar to yours. What day did you get infusions? Did you feel worse each round? I want to work as well, and am wondering what is realistic. Any insight appreciated. I am so happy to follow your return to health. :). Hope to copy you!!!

Hiya. Been awhile since I pestered you, so I thought I'd stop by to see how you are doing. Other than mamadrama, all is good here. Mom's still in skilled nursing -- just developed Bells Palsy. Scared the crap outta me when I first saw her 'cause I thought she'd had a stroke! I'll take the palsy over a stroke any day... Hope all is shiny in your world. : )

Gypsy - I had to do heavy duty reseach before I retired - Google opens the door - but did you every bother to find other searches on Google - there is one that does not track you - DuckyDuck - I use Bing sometimes, Yahoo, also type your question in the top URL line - As for me personally, I had stopped my periods after surgery (not female) told between age and shock to system) they gave me hormones for a year - and that was that - a year later I started spotting - at first given some creme then went to gyn where biopsyshowed 2nd stage endometrial cancer - so went to Doctor who saved daughters life (not cancer)

Hey there. Looks like the last couple of storms skirted south of us & hit West Virginia. You still in one piece?

Thank you for the honor of best answer. My Dr. has said we are all so different in how our bodies fight cancer. Its this unknown that I find so hard to handle. but I am looking at every day with a new outlook of what can I control. So I am exercising, eating right and doing meditation and I pray. So there by the grace of God go I.
Nice to know you and wishing you the best,

I am so sorry to hear you lost a friend. It especially hits home when the cancer is the same diagnoses as you. It creates all kinds of crazy thoughts and fear for the future. Grieve for her but count your blessing for having become her friend during a very difficult time. I liked KimmieJo's statement below to go tell their stories and "Fight like a girl!" Says it all. Hugs to you.

Just saw your comment on Greg's picture/quote. Yes I agree getting mad is a much better emotional response then being sad and scared all the time. Our emotional healing is as important as our physical one. Prayers and good luck.

Hi Julie! Thanks for the good wishes. How are things in your world? Did the nasty East coast blizzard mess w/you? It was sunny in Ohio while Boston got buried in 3 feet of snow.

Hey GypsyJule, After my chemo for maybe 6 - 8 months I felt like I was on 200 degrees - low heat most of the time. I was well into menopause so those affects were long gone. My head was sweaty, so weird! Cooked on the inside is how I referred to myself :0) Back to my new "normal" now. Hope you get back to "normal" soon. Mary Jo

Lets go with the oncologist. I'm in your corner and please let me know either on your wall(you might want to share the good news with everyone) or you can email me- I'll try to keep you busy reading my emails and CV's. I do have a very good cover letter to go with these too.-kimg09

OMG ! GypsyJule I just wrote you the longest post about what has happened with my work over the past few years. I had a headache by the time I finished and then it didn't post. AAGGHHHH!! Any way I was wondering if you would tell me the Bonding? website and would it be something I should include in my note when sending my resume? I have spent more time looking for a job than having a job since the almost ending of my radiation. I'm still on tamoxifen for 2 more years but have finally leveled out from the emotional ups and downs thanks to antidepressants. I feel I am merely existing since I have not a penny, haven't been in a store in I don't know how long, not even out of the house except when I have to take care of something regarding my bankruptcy. If I get up to writing it over again-mostly about the last couple jobs I've had since my diagnosis I will.kimg09

Thank you GypsyJule, it really makes you feel good when you can make someone else feel good. I am a 52 year old survivor, diagnosed at 49. So I'm just about halfway through the last med. and finally getting my life together again. 2013 has got to be a great year. Keep God close to you and you can't go wrong. kimg09

You had asked how I managed to only miss 1 day other than chemo & dr's appts. Strategic planning... We discovered my bad day is 2 days after chemo. Usually I have chemo on Thursday, which means my bad day is Saturday. The one day I missed was because that week my oncologist was out of the office on Thursday, so I had to do Wednesday instead. I didn't feel safe to drive on Friday, due to the Norco I was on, so I stayed home. Next week, I'll be off half a day on Tuesday to see my surgeon and all day on Thursday for my chemo -- it takes 5 - 6 hrs, as I start w/labs, see my dr, then go for 4 and 1/2 hrs of infusion. It also helps that all my drs are w/in 10 minutes of my home. I've also been VERY lucky on my side effects. The most debiliating I have is the leg/ankle/foot pain, which really only lasts for a couple days then slowly fades. Come in w/a cane, but it's good for whapping people... I've not had the nasty nausea or pain that doesn't go away. Seeing on the boards how many people can't work sometimes makes me feel guilty because I am doing so well through this. I know I have no control over any of that though.

    Hi GypsyJule.

Welcome to the What's Next site. We have a lot of wonderful people on this site. Any questions you have, chances are someone out here has experienced something like it, can offer some advice or maybe just a little empathy. If you have any questions, you'll see the question tab at the top -- someone will respond. Your path sounds a bit like my own. I was diagnosed w/endometrial cancer in July, following a hernia repair. Hysterectomy in August. I'm also on Taxol/Carboplactin with #4 coming up on 11/29. Total of 6. There are a handful of us who had surgery back in August. You'll see us all pop up on the boards from time to time. I'm sorry you have to be here, but I'm glad you found the site, and I hope you find it as helpful and supportive as I have.
