. . .and 5 years going strong ! . . .that's one advantage of the hormone receptor positive BC. Results are typically best from Tmxfn. Oncotype score was a 17, overall health excellent, my variable is that I had positive nodes. Going back in on Jan 9th for axillary dissection. . . then decision time. Happy New Year to you ! ! !0January 2014

This second surgery had its moments and "instances." I hemorrhaged, my incisions are peeling and bleeding through my clothing. Now comes the chemo. Wonderful to hear from you.0September 2013

thanks for the encouragement, just trying to get everything back in order for this new recurrence. It can be a little overwhelming, at least so far all I am facing is chemo. I have that experience already under my belt, so there is no fear of the unknown or anticpation as to how things are set up when I get there. I am so happy people here care about each other's challenges and peace of mind. Thanks again! Jeanie0August 2013 -
Thanks for the well wishes. Surgery went well. A little more discomfort than I expected! With the implant surgery and axillary node dissection I had very little pain, so I was thinking this was a breeze! I am very excited to have it done though...can't wait for the "unveiling" to see how it looks.0August 2013

Hi cbanks I read your profile and a lot of the conversations that you have had to get to know you. Wow I admire all you have gone through and all that you represent. I'm so glad I found this group. I thought I was the only one feeling the way I was feeling. This IS a great place to be!0August 2013

Thanks for wishing me well. I hope this will be done asap because all time going through tests and waiting for results can be stressful. They need to get medicare's approval before getting it done, (hanks, congressmen!) I certainly don't understand why they need approval for a person who has just been through cancer the prior year, the doc finds two questionable masses and they need to find out if it is ok to do just a biopsy/ That should be fairly a no brainer I'd think. They wonder why cancer is so difficult, the approvals, that is part of the difficulty, right?. Sorry, just venting lol Jean0August 2013 -
Hi Banks: Whew, my family and I are more confused now then ever before on this journey.....my path report came back that I have a tiny tiny focal margin......Oncologist said to do nothing about it and radiologist says to start 7 weeks of radiology so now we are trying to weigh the odds so that they are in my favor. I also have heart disease and my not clean margin is on the left side. Oncologist just wants to watch for any further areas of concern and put me on Arimudex (sp?) Radiologist wants to start rads asap......any thoughts?0July 2013

I read your post on my wall and I'm not that great on interactive web sites so am having a problem updating my dx. I actually had a bil mastectomy 9 weeks ago with lymph node removal and direct to implant. My left implant is being rejected by my body so am working on that. I am also waiting for the onoc to let me know what the results of my tests are to see what treatment I will be doing next. Hope you are having a great summer.0July 2013

Hi cbanks...how are you doing? I also had hot flashes but from Arimidex, but the worst seems to be over although it took several months and they will still occur once in awhile...I have joint pain mainly in my hands, wrists, and knees but I look at it as proving the medicine is working...I hope you are enjoying the lazy, hazy days of summer...this is the first summer since I retired last fall and I love it! Though not the humidity!! Take care.0July 2013

Hi Carol. I am at 23/34 radiation. Pretty red, but amazingly not very fatigued. Then I start Arimadex next month. Kinda worried about the side effects. Did you have chemo too? I did not. I am hormone driven with one node positive. Had a lumpectomy. Are you on A1 or tamoxifen? How is that treating you?0June 2013

Hi Carol. I have stage 11A. Taking rads now and would like to follow you.0June 2013
