    Hi Ejourneys
I havent posted in awhile because it said I had to register with FB first and don't belong. Found a backdoor and got in. You've done oodles of research and wondering if you have a few sites handy for a friend just diagnosed. No treatment yet. I'm going to do some research myself but if you have any good ones to offer, would appreciate it. She's hormone positive so I'm sending info about ONCO type test. She's going to a non specialty clinic my sister went to in upstate NY and they didn't prescribe hormone inhibitors to her until my sisters 4th recurrence and mastectomy so I'm starting off recommending a cancer center.
Saw you were in hosp awhile back because of your port and sorry I couldn't post. I couldn't even "like" answers. Hope you're all recovered from that and you and partner doing ok.

Hi Ejourneys, my hair regrowth mirrors yours but is growing in much slower than yours. Could you post a recent picture of your hair?

Hi, Ejourneys. I read your answer to danpb13 re "For caregivers" and I just want to thank you for yet another wonderful response. You are like a library - a wealth of information! And you are always so generous to share what you know. I'm always impressed and grateful when I read your posts and I just want to tell you that I appreciate you.

Wanted to answer this question but it would not go through Droid. So I'm sending it to your wall.

I did. Good job staying neutral EJourneys. It's media that's starting trouble. Now they're publishing things like "disunited states". If we all stick together and help each other like we do on this list, no matter which way we lean on various issues, it would be a better world. Lorie

Hi, I think you asked for an update
I still have strep. My doctor was explaining false positives and negatives. I didn't whine. I just said- I'm not better, my fever never broke. She ran a strep-and it was positive.

My temp was down to 97.4.. I explained it has pretty much been that way, but I get nurses that write or manually enter 98.8. I think that her nurse is wonderful, because she let's the actual temp stay in my record. I just said- I have trouble getting medical care, and it's been hard.

With the new antibiotic guidelines -starting with a low antibiotic and going to a stronger one just seems to make my nasty bacteria stronger. She wanted to give me Augmentin, but the network wouldn't let her. I'm in a really sucky era of medical care.

I am sorry to read about your partner''s mom passing away. I am happy that she is handling it well, though.

I loved the squirrel video. Is mama squirrel friendly? Before we moved, I had a squirrel who was nearly friendly enough to take a peanut from my hand. It would get within a few feet, but wouldn't actually take it from me. It would come running when I came outside because it knew I would have a treat.

    The following is from Mercola.com:
    • Mitochondria, tiny inclusions in your cell, were originally thought to be derived from bacteria. Most cells have several thousand of them comprising 15 to 50 percent of the cell volume. They’re the source of over 90 percent of your body’s energy
    • Your mitochondria have enormous potential to influence your health, specifically cancer, and optimizing mitochondrial metabolism may be at the core of effective cancer treatment
    • Important nutrients and co-factors for mitochondrial function include all B vitamins, magnesium, omega-3 fat, CoQ10, acetyl L-carnitine, D-ribose, and alpha-lipoic acid. EXERCISE is also important for mitochondrial health and function.

Therapeutic approaches to treating this wide-range suffering cannot be met by technological growth in pharmacology, genetic therapy, or surgery. It should be obvious that the real solution for treating cancer and disease is not found

Ejourney, could you post this for me in the thread/question about Claritin reducing bone pain. That link isn't working at all for me.
    Thank you

Do those neupogen shots hurt a lot? I hate shots so much. I guess they insert the needle into the bone? I've been offered shots, and I signed up for lots of physical therapy. I don't think that I can take too much more pain in my face.

Hi EJourneys, can you tell me more about the lab work we routinely get when in tx? I've done neoadjuvant, bil mastectomy, and now on my last two adjuvant chemo' s. Does the lab work help the doctors know if the breast cancer is back, or any cancer is back? I was staged at 1, no node involvement, and I am triple positive. I know the lab work helps determine if I can have the next chemo cycle, but I guess I am concerned that I'm not getting a PET scan or CT scan to determine if there are other cancers. You seem to be very knowledgeable, and I thought you would be able to explain it a little better to me than what I may understand now. Thank you!

The nicest thing that happened to me was after a Little German Band gig. We were back in the van getting ready to head back to Raleigh. I took my Tiroler hat off and started to put my other cap on when Joyce Loring, who always says the right thing, said, "You don't need to put that on. We're family."
