I am contemplating having the DIEP procedure done and I am interested in hearing from women who've gone through the experience.

I didn't have that, but I know there's a Facebook page. But, be aware, a lot of people on there are posting about complications and are looking for advice. So, not a page showing lots of positive happy results.
    Best wishes to you.

I was diagnosed 7 years ago with the same stage as you. I had an oncotype test and ended up with lumpectomy and radiation. I then took anastrazole for 4.5 years. Try to gather as much info as you can. God bless!

I had the DIEP done 6 years ago. Have been very happy with my breasts. I am friends with one of my surgeon's nurses. She said I am one of his best. You have to be very patient with healing.
I went to 3 different plastic surgeons before deciding who to go to. Ask for success rate, pictures. I prayed hard about this procedure and have never regretted having it done. I am sure the procedure has improved in this time span. I was 62 when I had my surgery. Wishing you all the best
