Good news and bad news? Let's hear it/see it. It seems our "leadership" doesn't care so let's be the strong people I know we are and lay it out there for congratulations and/or support.
Good news is I have finally found some tops that I really like that don't seem to require constant adjustments to make those parts of me that aren't really attached to me seem a little less uneven and imbalanced.
Bad news? I lost two friends this week to COVID. Neither had been vaccinated. The little town up the road where I used to live has been declared a "hot spot" for COVID after a "super spreader" festival last weekend. Hospital is full now. I fear we are on the brink of a shut down again here, but I hope people start paying attention and taking precautions. It seems this new variant is a little more potent than people want to admit.
I pray for families of all of those still being lost to COVID.

Oh, legaljen, I’m so sorry about your friends. This is hard for sure.0

legaljen, I too am so sorry for your loss.0

I think people have become very complacent, myself included, now that so many are vaccinated. People just aren't considering the risk, but these variants are packing a punch.

I lost my stepfather to Covid. It is no joke. I am so sorry this happened.0

Those who thought the pandemic was over in the US are sadly mistaken. It is ramping up all over again and it's everywhere. I was exposed to someone with Covid19 last weekend just as easy as it could be. Fortunately I subsequently tested negative but it could just as well have gone the other way. Mask up. Social distance. This is NOT over.0

legaljen, I agree. I’ve become somewhat complacent, in that I’ve eaten with friends in restaurants indoors. I’m not going to do that any more, until things get better. I’ve continued all along to be masked in any public indoor place.0

Bengal, I’m glad you didn’t catch it. A close friend and her husband and one of their daughters weren’t vaccinated (my only friend who hasn’t been vaccinated). All three got the virus. Fortunately, it was very mild.0

Terri, so sorry for your loss. You are so right. COVID is no joke. I think so many people just got complacent when it seemed that the number of vaccinated people was rising and it seemed they were telling people it was okay to loosen up. Now, I have gone back to being masked inside anywhere. Despite being vaccinated, I thought I had it. I got tested today and I don't. I have just been very tired, congested in chest and head, and had other stressful stuff going on in my life that I am sure weakened my immune system. But most of all, just being complacent about not masking.
I would have been super mad if I had gotten it though.0 -
I'm sorry to everyone who has lost loved ones & friends to Covid & the Variant. I remember my grandparents telling me of the 1918 Spanish Flu. History is repeating itself. I got my vaccination, but use common sense when I go out. You just can't let your guard down.0
