Another Anastrozole question - leg cramps?

If I stretch my legs, while sleeping, the muscles will sometimes (often) lock up and I have to jump put of bed to try to get them to relax back into place. If it takes a long time I end up with a pretty severe Charlie Horse kind of leg cramp that can bring me to tears. I don't know if this is caused by medication? I would experience this sometimes before I ever had treatment, but only once in while, maybe once every few months. Now, I honestly have them four or five times a week. Two things will give me relief - rubbing my leg with a bar of soap, or taking teaspoons of pickle juice. But, pickle juice means I have to go downstairs - not easy when you have a severe leg cramp! My left leg is more susceptible to this than my right, but it happens on either leg. Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this?

I have had a similar issue at times, but for whatever reason never really associated it with possibly being caused by anastrazole. What about keeping tonic water in your bedroom? Or maybe Hylands leg cramp pills. I haven't tried them. What about keeping a small foam roller beside your bed? Eating more potassium rich foods? I know that seems to help my husband when he has leg cramps.0

A magic solution for you!
Theraworx Relief Foam--- available in your local drug store. Just shake it up & apply a handful twice to the area & it is gone within seconds. Like magic.
As legaljen suggests, maybe a banana or potassium supplement might help as well.0 -
Thank you for the input! I will most definitely try the Theraworx and I will keep tonic water nearby...because I LOVE tonic water (I didn't know that was a *thing* for leg cramps?)! Pickle juice really does work, but who feels like trudging to the fridge for pickle juice in the middle of the night?0

I always thought dehydration caused a lot of muscle cramps, so we drink water all the time and avoid sodas and sugary juices. Not sure if that works or not but we aren’t having crampy muscles anymore.0

Thanks, Teachertina, I had heard that too, so I doubled up the water and I never drink soda or sugary drinks, (I do drink a lot of coffee), but it made no difference.0

I woke up in the middle of the night with Charlie Horses when I was pregnant. The ob/gyn told me to drink more milk. I did and they stopped.0
