With Covid cranking up and going crazy again we are canceling our family annual July4th cook out.

This will be the first time in 10 years that we don't all get together. We will have 40 to 50 people at our house for this annual party. It's disappointing to not be able to do it, but we feel it's mandatory with my diagnosis this year. Is anyone else canceling their plans?

    It's a bad year. So many cancellations. But we have to do what is right for our own health. No fireworks. No large picnics or parties. Just sad.

    We may see my daughter's family on Sunday, but they have been really careful. It Just a bad summer. Hopefully, they find a vaccine soon.

    Canceling events is the right thing to do. It's not worth the risk.

    I think you are being smart to make this decision. Too many people are dropping smart from their vocabulary and embracing stupid. Stupid is never something to celebrate. So good on you!

    Yes, we are canceling too. It's a shame because it's always an enjoyable day.

    We won't be doing anything either. But, I will still be celebrating in my heart and soul the fact that we live in this great nation.

    My 4 day weekend ~ 2nd thru 5th ~ was going to be spent at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. A reserved campsight in the campground right across the street from the track. races on the 4th & 5th. I can only guess how many fireworks they were going to be shooting off. That place is a party every year on NASCAR weekend but I've been looking forward to this one for a year. It was going to be epic.

    We have almost canceled, we will only have a brother and his wife over who never go anywhere and aren't around other people, so they are about as safe as we are. But it won't be the big crowd of 25 or so that we would have had.

    This is the first year in a while that my daughter and grandkids haven't come over with their fireworks for hubby to watch. He really loves that and seeing the grandkids. I think I was as sad as he was but better safe than sorry.
