Swelling in places where your cancer isn't at. Anyone have this happen?

I have swelling around my neck that has started this past week. It's making it slightly hard to breathe. Not extreme swelling, but enough to notice my neck is fatter than it really is. Doctor's appointment is Friday, they say "probably" nothing to worry with.

Anyone have this happen, my cancer is colon cancer, not in my head or neck.

I would most definitely get this checked out! Cancer has a way of sneaking up on you and can pop up anywhere. Better safe than sorry?

My cancer metastasized to the lymph nodes in my neck (supraclavicle lymph node). On the other hand, you may fighting some sort of infection, which would also cause lymph nodes to swell.

Here's hoping there's nothing nefarious going on!

After having any type of cancer makes us hyper aware of new issues. Never assume it’s nothing. It’s good to get any concern checked out! Listen to your body!

Are you on steroids: Prednisone, Prednisolone, Dexamethasone etc.? They increase cortisol (a hormone) and thus fat deposits around the collar bone, neck and upper back. Severe cases are known as Cushing's Syndrome.

I'm surely hoping that this turns out to be nothing. It's always good to let our oncologist know about new "things." I'm glad that you'll get seen tomorrow.
