I am done with radiation for a while but the burning is still there. I'm wondering if this is going to last short term or extremely long term.

Mine gradually got better as time went on. The total time I can't say for sure but I am guessing by 2 months out I had stopped noticing the burning. Are you using the magic mouthwash? It helps to numb, also plain old Chloraseptic mouth spray numbed my mouth so I could take a couple of bites, take another squirt, eat a couple more bites, repeat.0

Oh, Greg-that's horrible about the chloraseptic. I hate that stuff. I ate cold things, but my neck/throat was the edge of the radiation area.0

I had those sores in my mouth and throat too. I used that miracle mouthwash0
