Are you doing anything special to prevent getting Coronavirus? I have a low immune system, cancer, and I just turned 60.

We should do as most of the health professionals are saying, which is to wash hands often, try to keep your hands away from your face, and for now, avoid large crowds. If you are feeling sick, stay away from others completely to keep from spreading the common flu.
Every day we are seeing more cases popping up in different states that previously didn't have any. So it's coming and going to spread more, however for most it's "not supposed to be worse than the common flu". That said, I don't want to be a guinea pig.0 -
I am not doing anything special. My Sunday School teacher goes around and usually shakes everyone's hand. Yesterday, he was bumping fists instead (I am totally not sure how that is any better...)
The corona virus doesn't scare me even though I have lung cancer, am what they consider elderly (yikes, how did that happen???), and every CT scan says I have serious COPD (though I have no symptoms). I don't expect to be infected, but if I am, I will deal with it. If I end up seriously sick, everyone can say, "she should have been more concerned," but I totally don't expect to come down with the virus.
Many, many people who test positive for the virus don't even feel bad or have symptoms. The normal flu is far more deadly, at least at this point, and far more common, too. People should be worrying more about getting the flu than the corona virus, in my opinion. I don't get flu shots either so I guess I am a bit of a daredevil when it comes to my health...0
