Hi,
I used to frequent this site when I was under tx in 2015-16, but forgot my username and password etc. Anyways, wanted to ask others that may have gone into mestatic cancer after their breast cancer treatment. I thought the back pain and now rib pain and pelvic pain, might of been due to my night cleaning job that I clean offices 2 nites a week and use a heavy mop to mop 5 rooms. But I just had an MRI...and I will soon go over my results or get a call from my oncologist..I am trying to think positive...I do have a history of degenerative joint disease...but this pain is 80% of the time...now..I cant even unload a load of dishes without feeling pain, Wanted to know those that had the mestasis to bone after treatment, how and where did your pain start and was it similar to mine. Just want to live and not die..as everything I read...says there is no cure and your lucky if after diagnosed with bone mets and live another 5 years...looking for hope...

I have lower back pain, almost constant, and neck pain. Have had MRIs and it is disc problems. I also have a very physical job and attribute it to that. But it's hard to not have that fear of recurrence creep in.
I hope you get good results.

I don't know what anyone else think, but I had a surgery in 2010 on lumber 4-5 and 5a .And wouldn't recommend this surgery to my worst enemy. This was from my hospital job and homes, in Nursing.Dislocation and degenarating disc. This was the worst surgery I've experienced from the time I woked up from anesthesia to at least 6 months. Now I'm still getting bavck aches

I "throw my back out" much oftener (every 2-3 months) than I used to (every 2-3 years)--but it turns out it's worsening of degenerative disc disease (aka spinal arthritis).

God forbid it turns out to be metastases, newer drugs can often slam the brakes on progression for a good long time.

Meanwhile, don't get ahead of yourself. Take things one day, one test, one visit at a time and don't jump to conclusions. "To worry does nothing but steals from the loving and robs from the pleasure that's there."--Tom Dundee, "A Delicate Balance."
