Is anyone here having microwave therapy. A lady in my cancer support group is taking microwave therapy with chemotherapy and a kind of directed radiation. It seems this is a very new treatment

I haven't heard of this. I hope someone can explain it to us.

For some reason I'm imagining myself as a hot dog...

This lady has an aggressive breast cancer. She explains the treatment as "cooking her cancer" She says that they essentially put packs of water on her and shoot microwaves at them. So Shelby your "hot dog" image is appropriate. I was hoping that someone here could report fantastic success. We are all concerned for her. She is a wonderful and generous lady and strong support in our group.

Hope it works for her. And I guess radiation is radiation, regardless of the type.

I thought I had heard of all the different types of treatments, this is a new one for me though.
