Hi Saddie! My husband was unable to handle it, but when he was on, it was 2 weeks on and one week off. I wish you luck with treatment and answers!

I just started on Xeloda on 2/13. I take 1500 mg AM and 2000 mg PM for 2 wks, then a week off. I am starting to get some acid, but if I eat a little after taking meds, I am ok. Have my nausea meds ready. Have a friend who has been on it 6 months and her scans are improving! She takes a Compazine a half hour before Xeloda, then doesn't have any stomach issues. Hoping you do well and get great results. Dr can adjust dose for your side effects.

I took it for six months. I had stomach issues and problems with me feet. However since my cancer was tnbc and none of the hormone therapies work on it, taking Xeloda was my best chance for no recurrence.

I took Xeloda as well and had the common Hand and Foot syndrome, fatigue and stomach upset. BUT, I'm still here 10 plus years later!

I was on Xeloda for about 9 mos. until my feet got really nasty blisters/sores. Fingers weren't much better. It worked in shrinking my nodule in my lung. That was the good outcome.

I ended up with sore, swollen fingers. Couldn't do anything. They are peeling now. Dr will reduce my dose when I can start back on it after 1 more week of radiation.
