Hi. Looking for a telephone support group for a friend. Not looking for a help line, but a support group. Does anyone know of any? thanks

    Hi there lady. I would suggest the cancer clinic in her local community. I know when I received my chemo they had survivors reaching out to other survivors by phone program. This was at UC Davis in Sacramento and I imagine other hospital cancer clinics may offer a similar program.too. I would also recommend the site OCRAhope.org for useful information and for the opportunity to become more involved with other survivors. Every year they sponsor a conference for survivors and caregivers. Last year it was in Seattle Washington, this year it will be in Washington DC. I have attended two of these conferences and it is a very uplifting , informative, and positive experience.
