There are a few of us here who are in your same boat. The waters have been challenging for me lately. Lots of back pain with this pancreatic cancer..Though I think, hope, the back pain is muscular. Have been doing battle for a few years. Now my challenge is to maintain the few pounds I have left. If anyone can offer advice, let me know. Anyway, good luck with your treatment regimen. I understand there are new, beneficial chemo treatments out there which can extend life for four months.

My brother is 55 years old. He was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic cancer the day after Thanksgiving. He lives in California and I live in Arizona. The week before Christmas he was admitted to the hospital and received 48 hrs of aggressive chemo. This is all still new to our family and trying to get through the holidays. Hope you had a merry Christmas.

I appreciate your kind words. I can't or usually do cry when my family or friends are around. It just happens. I wish like you to have not put my family and friends thru this. Unfortunetly they had to know. I at times regret that decision but we needed to rally together so in the big picture its what's best for me. When the dr told me I have cancer he took me out of my life of working having my independance and it isolated me from my past life snd threw me into this life with cancer. I get thru each day pretty goid with the set back from time to time of these crying spurts. When I tell my friends or family I get don't cry its ok. And then you don't hear from them for days. That's why its so much easier to go it alone. I do care and I am compassionate toward those that are walking side by side with me thru this journey. It could be worse. Well tomorrow is another day. This one is almost done. Ty and take care.

Hello from Pa, The Abraxane is tuff but it breaks the shell of the tumor allowing the Gemzar to do its work too.Ask your questions and there will be many tips to help you thru from those who have already done it, Very helpful!
