Hi TC, Glad you had a great vacation- you deserve it (cute photo too with your daughter) !
One question for you- are your hands and feet still numb even on the Gabapentin? With my husband it has spread up to his ankles and he is feeling clumsy. He is also dropping things because his fingers are numb. He is not on any medications yet (only Vitamin B6). These side effects of the chemo are SOOO frustrating for him !!!

Thanks for the shout out. Here is a thought. Lets get together you and I . We could visit cancer patients and you could tickle the cancer out of them and I could use my cell killer weapon to kill the cells while they are laughing . No one would suffer. Great fantasy
    . Blessings. Cellkiller

What dose of gabapentim were you taking? My husband is dealing with the neuropathy and is on low dose gabapentin. Some days aren't too bad, but others really bad. Appreciate your input. Take care

They are discussing radiation to all nodes involved as well as the primary. There are many nodes with cancer, I am very nervous over this discussion waiting on input from doctors from Loma Linda. They explained to me that they couldn't do radiation and chemo at same time due to toxic over dose. Snow that chemo has shrunk the nodes and primary cancer they want to try this.

Hi TC, thought you forgot about me. I haven't been on this site for awhile. I am still in this fight, as you very well know it is hard. Docs are now discussing radiation to the lymph nodes involved which is a large area along with radiation to the primary tumor. Waiting on doctors from Loma Linda they are back in the picture. There is confusion as to which facility I belong to since insurance changed. Anyway docs from Loma Linda still have to meet and consult over which plan they feel would be more successful. I am really scared, but still praying for a miracle. I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for thinking of me.
    Take care,
    Lisa

Hi! My husband has tc and we are meeting with the oncologist tomorrow. It's a non seminoa not sure of stage yet because it spread to his lungs:(...so I'm sure III. With your experience how long was chemo each day and how long was it? Were u able to work through it? I'm just hoping that he will be ok some days:)...do u have any important questions that we should ask the oncologist? I'm sorry but sounds like my husband is similar to u. Also he has not one sympton of it in his chest so hopefully we caught it early there. I hope u don't mind all these questions :)

the tumors in your abdomen and chest, are they testicular mets or different primaries? I am hoping you are still in remission, sounds like you have been through a lot. I had different chemo for my highly aggressive breast cancer. It was called TAC (taxotere, Adriamycin, and Cytoxan). There was another drug they gave me to build my white count up that caused severe bone pain. I wish you the best. Love your photos.

good morning, I read the posts about relaxing...it's difficult to relax when you've been wound-up pretty tight your whole life. For me relaxing is gardening. So how do you take a 50 year old woman who is a bit of a workaholic and say relax listen to this CD - I find taking time for myself to relax even stressful I'm thinking about the dirty dishes and getting the garbage pails from the curb. I keep thinking what did you do for yourself today? I think a lot of women feel the way I do - I've been caring for my mother and her illness for several years (we live together) so it was always my health on the backburner. I'm trying so hard to say to the family 'no not today' so I can carve out some time for myself. Have any of you experienced this with your own families? It's sort of like they see you doing well so why isn't she runnng around like a nut again doing everything for everybody. It's almost like they think I'm selfish now for saying now. It's been difficult. Sorry for the long post but I just had to get this out....so all of you that listen to those relaxing tapes and CD's please give me some advice for relaxing and dealing with my family.
