Yes I've read what you sent me. I'm not using Chris as my Guru but his site has good info and a lot of people to talk with. There is Much Info out there about Foods that help fuel cancer and others that can cause them. That's where I am on this. Chris had a miracle and for whatever the reason seems to have beat it with just major surgery. Whether he would have done this well 10 year out with NO Change to his World...Only God Knows for sure. The ONLY Entity on The Planet that really KNOWS HOW to stop run away cells is our own Killer T Cells.....I'm hoping that Mine became weak and I'm trying to improve all my Health Markers. My BP dropped from 150/ 85 to 110/70 and my weight went from 172 - 153. SO something is happening if only in the margins. The body is designed as a self healing organism and I hope what I'm doing slows down, stops or reverses my aberrant cells.
We are all on that unstoppable conveyor belt of life and at 68 I realize that I'm on the last third. Maybe it will be the cancer or something else like an accident but something will end our life HERE. SO....I'm doing what makes the most sense to me.
Thanks for responding. BTW...Chris is certainly allowed to make a few bucks off his site. He doesn't sell stuff just his expertise in Knowledge. If you don't want to know what he learned don't use him. It's all on line....all the info on cancer and nutrition. Some people like me look it up myself.....some need somebody to hold their hand and a personal touch. I think his site is wonderful in giving alternative info and a lot of camaraderie.
I know many who cured their cancer with surgery alone with NO change in anything....BUT....why this person went after Chris in such a hard way makes me suspect his or her motives. We all take different paths sometimes and can wind up in the same place. I figure maybe my cancer will kill me BUT I'll be healthy....lol

Hi bw this is about your response to the person who asked about her sinus side effects. I don't mean to alarm you - I'm just telling you why I discontinued use of the neti pot.
I've had long time chronic issues with sinus and sinus infections. I, too found that the neti pot helped. HOWEVER, I have read about severe complications from neti pot use. I think it was a fatal case of meningitis. I think it was actually not the pot itself that they blamed the infection on, but the water and purity of the water. I'm not a medical professional - but to me this makes sense. Because of the proximity of the sinuses to the brain there has to be some interchange action there. I no longer use a neti pot. -jad0December 2013 -

Hi walker, checking in to wish you a Happy Holiday! Also, I wanted to tell you I printed out some of your recipes. After Thanksgiving I would like to try a few. I am going to start with the Slow Cooker Minnestone. I see you like Creole seasoning. Do you use Tony Chachere's? I love it. Put it on everything. Well, have a great day tomorrow and I'll catch you later.....:)0November 2013

Hey walker, me again. I was reading about your hair loss and no shampoo and driving with the windows down. lol I am so spoiled now cuz a shower takes 2 minutes. No shampooing, conditioning, rinsing. I don't have to spend time shaving my legs and underarms. I'm kinda lovin' it.0November 2013

Hey walker, good to hear from you. I'm glad you are doing so well with the chemo. I am going for round #5 today. Not bouncing back so much now. So tired.
I am not sure what is going to happen after the chemo is done. I think a pet scan to see if it worked.. The way I feel now I can't imagine getting ready 5 days a week for 6 weeks for radiation. Also, I think you have a lifetime limit on radiation and I think maybe they should save it for down the road since I am stage IV. I know hormone therapy is in there somewhere but not sue which AI she will go with.
Well, I guess I will catch you later.....:)0November 2013 -
I had not had skin sparing mastectomy the first time, so the PS had the breast surgeon excise a large area when she did the mastectomy. His goal is symmetry, as close as possible. So he took skin, tissue and fat for the reconstruction. Yes, the skin is tight on my belly. It tightens up whenever I sit for awhile, but stretches out when I walk. Oh, yeah, I'm able to sleep flat now and back raised at the hospital, going a little flatter every day. No need to sleep in a recliner. My flabby belly is gone and have a new belly button, too. I never walked bent over! I agree the after surgery stories are scary. Don't believe them. Hope you can find a great surgeon. Mine is moving to Texas in a few weeks. New Orleans has a reconstruction center that is supposed to be fantastic. Women travel from all over to go there. Wishing you the best and willing to answer any ? you might have.0November 2013

Sorry to hear you are feeling blue, too. Me, you, and flangogirl seem to have all got hit at the same time. I think for me I am tired of being tired. Gloomy days don't help. I am sure you are missing Bandit, too. Anyway, misery loves company so I will "chat" with you anytime......lol.0November 2013

Thanks for following. Radiation is not as bad as I thought. The fatigue is annoying and the peeling off the radiation areas is all you notice. I think I'm going to like this Playground0November 2013

Hi walker, I am feeling better. Got a nice pair of winter boots yesterday. They are waterproof and lined, etc. Just in time cuz it is snowing here today though it is not supposed to stick. How are you doing?0November 2013

I know that you had to put Bandit down. I still miss my cat after 2.5 yrs. You do get used to them not being there but still miss them. You did the right thing for him. He went out in a place he loved, with someone he loved and eating something loved. Well done. It just sucks having to deal with the loss on top of everything else. I believe they are watching over us now. (he's probably eating a cheeseburger)
Catch you later........:)0November 2013 -
OOPS! posted on the wrong [erson. sorry...catch you later.....:)0November 2013

How did your treatment go? I hope it was not as bad as you anticipated.
Well, I'll catch you later....:)0October 2013 -
Good Luck on your chemo tomorrow!! Hope is goes as smoothly as mine did. Remember, take a book or something to keep you occupied. Maybe a blanket too. It was cold in my chemo center. I took a blanket even when it was hot outside. Wear comfy clothes. Let us know how it goes!!0October 2013

Hi banditwalker, I see that you are getting ready for chemo. I hope that you have an easy time of it. How many treatments are you going to have to take? I had 4 rounds of AC, 10 rounds of Taxol and then 33 rounds of radiation. It honestly wasn't as bad as I had it in mind to be, not saying it was a piece of cake either...lol My 1st cancer was estrogen based and not sure about this last one. I am now on Armidex (Anastrozole) for the next 5 yrs. I was on Tamoxifen but when I was diagnosed again this year, they had to take me off the Tamoxifen. I sure hate that you are going thru all that you are but you have found a wonderful site to come to when you need to vent, cry or just ask a question. There are some wonderful people here on this website. Good luck and God bless. Hope you chemo goes good for you! Keep us informed on how it goes.0October 2013

Good luck with your port placement this week--I hope you end up liking it as much as I did. Made each session start out nice and easy.
What kind will you be having, how many and how often?
I had the dose-dense AC (4) and T(4) every 2 weeks from May till August. Now I have one more week of rads then on to Arimedex (yuk),
Hope it goes well for you!0October 2013 -
Hi, glad your meeting with your team went well. It's really important to like the people who are taking care of you. I find most of them are really friendly. Thanks for all the tips you sent me. It really is a lot to remember, especially now that I have chemo brain. OMG I am turning into a space shot! lol Oh well, catch you later.0October 2013
