Here's the help I need! This is the fifth or sixth time I have requested to be UNSUBSCRIBED!!!!!! No one seems to want to take care of my request. What is the problem?!!!!!!! I want to be removed from this site. I want an email confirming that! I want to stop being matched with people! I don't want notifications BECAUSE I'm not a part of this site any longer! Do you think you could take care of that for me?

Can you unsubscribe me? I cannot deal with negative people. I know my diagnosis is rare and challenging but I don't have it in me to converse with people who are working on their bucket lists. I have no complaints about this site and everyone is entitled to live their lives the way they want to. Thank you. Will you send an email confirming that I'm unsubscribe do?

GregP_WN, you have had your share of cancer. My husband also was diagnosed and treated for stage 4 tongue/neck cancer. Did you know that the HPV virus can cause this cancer and many times patients are not tested for this. The prognosis changes significantly from 48% post treatment to 99%. My husband is one of the lucky ones and is cancer free after 3 sessions of chemo and 35 radiation treatments. He chose this course rather then the surgical course as they both had the same outcome but if the cancer reoccurs, there is the surgical option. We are grateful.

Hi, Greg! On January 18, I used the "email us" link to let WhatNext know I have a new e-mail address, however, I'm still getting the digests, etc., to my old e-mail address. I'm sorry to bother you with this! But could you educate me as to the best way to make the change happen? Thank you! : )

I was wondering if I can get permission to give my email and ask for email of one person. She (?) is the one person I have found on this email group who lives in Japan like me, and I would love to be able to contact her privately, without posting my email for all to see--not that I don't trust everyone, but there are quite a few people in this group. . . Anyway, it is very happy news for me that there is another survivor and cancer-fighter in this part of the world, and it is thanks to this group that I found her (even though we live in different cities, it makes me very pleased). "Victoria 14"

Good morning Greg- hope this finds you doing well in the new year. I've got a request that hopefully is not too much to ask! I was wondering if Whatnext could list a category for Neuroendocrine Tumors.
There are actually a lot of us out here... Even though they still call it 'rare'. I happen to have pancreatic Neuroendocrine Cancer. This is a totally, totally different beast than the more common adenocarcinoma pan/can. All the treatments, symptoms, specialist are different than the more common type.
Neuroendocrine Tumors are almost always misdiagnosed for years and by the time the DX is right... It's well advanced ..Stg IV- involving the liver or elsewhere.
NET's are most common in the gut but can also be lung primary, colon primary, appendix, etc. & etc... Again, all of these require a different treatment than their more common Cancer cousins.
Many NET's also cause Carcinoid Syndrome- which is a beast unto itself.... Diareha, vomiting, flushing, heart racing, abdominal pain, back pain, etc... As you may see... These symptoms could be caused by many, many things... Thus, in part, the common misdiagnosis. Some patients have their doctors tell them they need a psychiatrist ... Nothing is found wrong via normal testing for these type of symptoms.
There are NET support sites out there ( carcinoid awareness, zebra zone, carcinoid cafe, healing net, walking with Jane, etc)
These are great... But if this site had a Neuroendocrine listing, it would be helpful too! For example, I found these other sites via someone I ' met' on whatnext!
I know this site really works hard at Being there for all sorts of Cancer patients! I really believe having NET's listed as a category would serve a lot of people, patients, caregivers, etc....
I don't know if you are the person to contact about this, if not, I. Sure you know who is! Would you please pass this request along to whoever does this sort of stuff for whatnext?
I also do thank you for all you do to make this site a great place to visit, 'meet' people, get good ideas, and encouragement!
Stay warm!! Even in Atlanta, it's freezing cold!!
    Blessings- beeps

Hi Greg, I feel like a dope. I told you that I was worrying because some lab work for my kidneys was changing, and it didn't look good. I looked online-and the sites said very little-and it seemed confused. I went to my doctors, and they were ecstatic. The drop showed that my body was repairing itself, and I had better kidney and liver function-more protein in my body. I went from middle range to the low part of the range. It's like a TSH-the lower the range is, the more thyroid you have in your system. But unlike a TSH, this is all good. My doctors also told me that it debunks the claim by that doctor that I'm diabetic. Diabetics don't have this type of lab work. That doctor put me through H-ell this summer.

I won't ask why people choose to be that way. He's really smart-but something is wrong- maybe he's physically ill himself. I try not to hold things against people, because we don't know what problems they have.

Hi Greg. Did you ever check on why I am not getting emails? Last we talked you said you would check. Hope I can do something about it soon. Kinda frustrating to have to go back to each post I have participated in to see comments. OK, let me know, thank you.

Greg, although I was wearing my mask when I checked in on Monday, I was sneezed and coughed on so much, and I heard a parent say, He's got a fever, and the pulmonary dr told me to bring him in to save ER fees. I hope that he doesn't have the measles.
wearing cancer-- I now feel like wearing a shirt that says- My Cancer is contagious, and only wear that at the hospital.
I don't understand why the other cancer patients don't speak up. One woman says, "I have lung cancer. Go get a mask and sit somewhere else." Amen to her.

People act like I don't have sympathy for lung patients, but if s or I had Ebola- the lung patients and some of the commenters here would change their tune.

I complained to my doctor. I complained to the person in charge of patient satisfaction. I let him know that there weren't any masks, no hand sanitizers, and a crowd of coughing people.

My son and wife were with me when I was told. I said to the doctor" ok now what do you do". I didn't realize how bad it was. Stage 4.
My wife told my daughters and the rest of the family. Soon after our friends were told.
The rest of the story just continues like all of what cancer patience go through. I never worried about me. I worried about being a burden to them. To this day with everything that has happened and continues to happen I adjust but still worry about them.

Major Updates in Justina Pelletier Case: Lawmakers Get ...
    www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/02/26/major-updates-in...Cached
Massachusetts lawmakers are getting involved in the Justina Pelletier case and have begun circulating a resolution asking the Department of Children and Families (DCF ..

This has to be a factor in the minds of the girl with cancer and her family. Justina doesn't have cancer-genetic condition that interferes with digestion or something. She was a competion figure skater in Conn.

Her GIs sent her to Boston Childrens for tests, 2nd opinion. A kid licensed for 3 months, sent her to the psych ward. The governors of 2 states-Mass and Conn got involved with this.

Boston Childrens wouldn't even allow their own GI doctors to examine Justina. She can't walk, she has a feeding port, and is in a wheelchair. The headlines were "Hostage" "Captive" She couldn't see her parents for months and months. They took her off of her diet and stopped her meds. Then she was sent to a foster home where she was treated horribly. 15 years old. How can anybody in New England trust any medical facility, except a military one for normal treatment. If any doctor told me to take my kid in somewhere else-I'd head for Canada.

Thank you, Greg. I think I am doing a good job on my own staying positive...most people who haven't experienced this just feel "sorry" for me. I don't want that, looking for like experiences without all the doom and gloom on the internet.

I've been trying to post questions and follow people with no success. When I follow people I get "oops, something went wrong" message. And when I post a question it says "successfully posted" but the question is no where to be found. I', using a Toshiba lap top computer and working through GoogleChrome. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Feliz Navidad! We went out to load those 3 heavy trash bags into the truck this morning. This was our weeds-not the neighbor's with the tree. Somebody picked them up and hauled them off. I don't know if it was the neighbor behind me, we cleaned his section. When he goes out he cleans up my area too, but he's sick and getting older like me. Maybe it was one of the illegal Mexicans.

There isn't anyway to get water here- no water fountains-no stores to buy a bottle of water-and they really don't have the money. It's really hard on little kids. Anyway, since I moved in,2000, I keep a little water trickling for people. I put the end of the hose where people can see it.

When I'm working in the alley, lots of people offer to help me. I haven't had any money to pay anyone. Sometimes I bagged the trash, but the truck was gone. I'd go with the truck and sometimes the trash was gone, sometimes not. Most people are pretty nice, and talk to me, love the dogs, but someone gets drugs-and it's a very bad place for everyone.

Good things can happen, but a wise person doesn't count on it.
