hi gracielou2. I have just joined this website. I also have serous carcinoma, uterine. Found out after a d&c. having a hysterectomy on March 9. They are also removing everything that doesn't complain. They expect chemo and radiation. How are you doing?0March 2015

Hi! I have same diagnosis, but Stage III. Had robotic hysterectomy, having 2nd out of 6 rounds of chemo this week, then will have internal & external radiation after that. My hair has started falling out from the chemo which has been emotionally difficult to deal with, but minimal side effects from the 1st chemo at least!0November 2013

Hi Gracielou2 I also had endometrial cancer 4 1/2 years ago. It was stage 1 and had robotic surgery, no chemo, or radiation so I can't help you with that. I have had endometrial cancer come back in my lungs this spring and was found when they were looking for a problem I had in my abdomen. I have since had chemo #6 and will find out if the nodules have been eliminated. The chemo has not been easy as you probably know. I'm not sure what the next step will be for me as radiation would not work as there have been to many nodules. Prayers are with you and your family.0October 2013

Hi Gracielou2, Hope you are doing well. I was diagnosed with a serous carcinoma, also 66, stage1a. I had 3 rounds of chemo, waiting to have a CAT scan next week.0October 2013

Hi, Hope you are doing good. Did you have chemo and radiation? I had three chemo treatments, just had the last one a few weeks ago.0October 2013

Hi Gracielou2, I had internal radiation for endometrial cancer. I had a total of 3. I was 65 at the time. This sounds silly, but I would start every session(each exam, each external and each internal) by asking,"Would you like to hear a joke?". They would smile and say yes without exception. Now no one cared about anything above the waist or below the knees, so some of the jokes were rather raunchy(and I am a Sunday School Teacher!). But it helped lighten the day. Internal radiation was embarrassing, but we were able to laugh at a ridiculous situation(they were embarrassed too). The radiation was not painful, just awkward and uncomfortable.PS: If you need a good joke, I can certainly give you one. Last week, I visited my radiologist and, when I didn't give him a joke, he asked for one....said it brightened his day..lol0October 2013

Hi, Gracielou! I was diagnosed with uterine serous papillary carcinoma in June, after my hysterectomy for what we thought was a run-of-the-mill adenocarcinoma. I am being treated at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle. I have finished chemo and radiation and my follow-up exam is scheduled for November 4. I feel better every day, which translates to feeling very good now. I am also caregiver for my husband, who has vascular dementia.0October 2013
