hey... responding to your hair loss info... I too lost most all of my hair - (a little fuzz left) and the eyebrows and lashes - I found a felt tipped eyebrow pen made by MILANI that made the BEST eyebrows on skin! it doesn't work on hairy eyebrows ! and I found a cheap 'fake bangs' at wig store (little weft of human hair for $1.99) that can be bleaches, dyed, curled, etc... to tuck under a wide headband before putting on a scarf or hat. My scalp was very sore and I could not handle wigs or anything rough on it! hope this helps - more info and pics on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CSIiCancerSurvivorsInfo0August 2013

Hi, Teachergirl. It sounds like your case is very similar to mine, I'm just 6 months behind you. Recently diagnosed, starting chemo (ACT) next week. I really appreciate how much people share here. It makes it much easier to have some idea of what to expect of the experience.0September 2013

Hi, It looks like you considered your options regarding being docked. I'm not a teacher and not in a union. So, you know best which battles to pick. Good luck in any event.0August 2013

Teachergirl, Did you know that persons with cancer are covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act? If you think your employer has docked you unjustly, based on how other workers are allowed leave with pay, perhaps you should look into how this law could help. I am not a lawyer, but it sounds like you may have been discriminated against. Anyway, it might be a good idea to at least look into it. Perhaps others on this site have had experience with work related problems associated with cancer treatments and could add to this post. Good luck.0August 2013
