After I went to bed-I realized that I missed part of your question-2 parts actually.

Go see a GastroEntologist-- they are the ones that do this. They have the facilities and equipment to do this-Acid Reflux is part of their job description. - and may you get a much better doctor than I have.

Next-you say that you're having trouble getting an Endoscope. OK, that's where a GI comes in. They are the 'Buck stops here' doctor for this and upper stomac pains. THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE-- you need to go in and exhibit hyperbole-complain about the pain and every problem strongely to the GI.

I also suggest that you do this when you make the appointment, when they ask you why. This is not the time to be John Wayne, and be stoic, as they pull the arrow out of your stomach. Tell how it interrupts your sleep. It's getting worse in spite of the Prilosec, modifying food. Not eating several hours before bed, the head of your mattress has a 4X4 under it to elevate your head--really- that you cut down on coffee and other acid causing agents-you avoid deep fried foods-etc.

Next is the the lack of common sense in modern medicine and the stupid rules. This one seems to have come out after Obama was president to save money- a congress dictate to NIH and MediCare. no matter

Endoscopes are not routinally covered by insurance. There isn't anything for a patient to get an Endoscope-ever-in medical guidelines-the Feds don't pay for them UNLESS A GI WRITES UP A STRONG CASE FOR NEEDING ONE.

OK---in 2011, I joined this HMO type of advantage Medicare plan. and the GIs said---We've been sharing with her care since 1969---We need to scope her---So they immediately fit me in---really--and they set up a COLONO/ENDOSCPEY. Billing called me and said that my share was $6,000, because Endoscopes were no longer considered to be needed, when a diet sheet for GERD could be handed out. So I had a colonoscopy with a co-pay of a few hundred.

I went in about Aug 2016 for the stomach bleeding, whch also goes with pain at the bottom of my stomach. My endoscope was approved with a co-pay of a few hundred. The colonoscopy was free thanks to Obama-I have to give him and Congress that.

So you need to find a GastroEntologist if you don't have one. See if you need a referral from your Primary or oncologist-

and it's time to go in and say-- I have been trying to be dignified and NOT WHINE- but my stomach is killing me. I can't sleep- the Prosilec isn't working very good at all. Blah, blah, blah I do not need a speech pathologist for swallowing therapy, I need to find out what's wrong-----

don't say-- FEEL -----DO NOT SAY --THINK--- say IT's KILLING ME-- Make it a physical certainy, not your opinion---

Anyway, a person has to make this not routine---With any luck- you should have an endoscope and biopsy results by Fall if you start now.

Hi, can you ask what we weren't told about radiation?

Just read your book Greg! Fantastic, I couldn't put it down. I had forgotten I downloaded it. On the Kindle (B&W version, Paperwhite) I unfortunately couldn't see the pictures. But it was a great read, gives such a good perspective others should realize, especially for those like me that have never had cancer. As family / caregivers / friends it helps explain what patients go through. Reminds us cancer is never totally out of the life of someone who had it, even years after NED / remission, or "cure". In regard to dreaming about your dad after he passed, I've heard (and personally believe) that's a true visitation from the deceased person you've dreamt of, especially if the dream was vivid and memorable.

Dear Greg: I couldn't have radiation to my head, because it was too close to my brain. They said the hair will never grow back. I'm 50 and don't have colored hair. I only have a few grey strands. It was the same way when I was first diagnosed at 46 years old. Just a couple greys. Funny.

I did have 33 radiations to my right chest area the first time I had Trlple negative breast cancer in 2013 and then more radiation
I think 11 "fractionated" when I had a recurrence of Triple negative breast cancer.
