Shelby, you mentioned you work for the insurance entities. I have always had medical insurance with Health net now the school district I work for will be switching to blue shield of California as of July 1. I have tis pre-existing condition and even though I have never had a laps in coverage can they still deny me or make me wait 6 months to 12 months before they will cover anything for me?0May 2013

Shelby, thanks for your comment about D.O.s. I would prefer an M.D. but hate to reject this dr. before even meeting him. I'll see whether he seems reasonable about the Tamoxifen etc.0May 2013

Thanks for the welcome... I grew up outside of Columbus, Ohio and lived in Ohio until about 15 years ago, when I moved to Colorado. Miss the green of the east, but love the Mts. of the West.0April 2013

I do meditate, breathe and all that stuff and find it helpful for the emotional side effects of the white coat syndrome. Unfortunately a high bp is a side effect of the steriods (which as you know we have to have to counteract the side effects of the chemo itself) is a bit hard to visual away. I can't fix this one. THEY have to. By the way, I know I'm anxious. I keep telling my health care providers I'm NEW at this. THEY know what's coming coming next in terms of treatment. I, on the other hand do NOT and need a bit of temporary chemical help so I can function and have a life during this. Know what I mean:-) I think I'm upset because this disease and it's treatment is taking over my life. Know wha I mean?0March 2013

I saw your post on my wall and wanted to say thanks. My surgery went well and I am back home recovering. The surgeon said the cancer looked to be localized and he got it all. I go next Thursday for my post op follow-up and will get my path results. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope all is going well for you on your journey!!0March 2013
