Are you still participating in this site, because I know a lot of us miss hearing from you. things have been up and down here but Colby, the new moderator, put out a survey to help this site be more efficient. Hi BuckeyeShelby, I do not come as frequently to the site since Greg’s passing . I still think of all the WhatNexters and all of their support through the years. I just wanted an update on how you are doing.,especially through these isolating times.

Hi, BuckeyeShelby. I just wanted to tell you I am really not an expert on U of M! (lol!) I live very near Ann Arbor and I have been to a few games, but football is not my passion, and I am not from around here. I am from Weirton, WV, an Ohio Valley steel town. My husband is a Columbus native, but he did not go to Ohio Sate. Did you? People here tease him when they find out he is from Ohio, but he always says, "My blood runs blue now." (and it DOES - he is a fan). I Have a good friend who lives in Baltimore now, but graduated from OSU, so we banter about it during football season.

I moved to this area when Bo Schembechler was still coaching and I really don't think the enthusiasm has ever been the same since he retired. (and, of course, now he is gone) I did meet Brody Hoake once - they introduced him during halftime at a home hockey game and it turned out he was sitting right behind me (with his knees in my back, I might add!)

Anyway, I just wanted joke with you once I realized you were having fun with that long time rivalry (when I lived in WV we were all big fans of Woody Hayes!). Today my favorite buckeye (besides YOU, of course) is the chocolate kind with peanut butter in the middle. ;-)

Hey, lady. I saw your post about the staph infection and being back in the hospital. That sucks. How are you doing?

Hi buckeyeshelby :-) I’ve been around for years but definitely not active. I rarely open my what’s next digest however did today. Saw your question and sadly read that Greg has passed and you’re having a recurrence. I tried to see the details as I too am 8 years out from late stage uterine. Following your journey has always given me hope in my own. Sending you all positive wishes for a full remission/recovery. Hugs and prayers ❤️

We're all thinking about you and worrying because we haven't heard anything from you. We all hope that things are going as well as can be expected (or lots better than that) with your wound healing and potentially your cancer treatment (I forget the timing).

Please know that we all care a lot about you and miss hearing from you!

Thanks for your comments. You are quite active on WhatNext! I was in this support group before. What happened was that my laptop had a cracked screen and my husband got me a desktop. I lost all my info. somehow and I had to sign up again. My user name was Caralyn. I always got good information from you. It has got to be scary to be in remission for so long and then have to deal with a recurrence. Please know that people are thinking of you. You and one man - Greg P seem like top contributors..I am sure there are more people as well.

I do admire you and others who have such a positive attitude which allows positive energy to fight this damn cancer. My thanks, and prayers go out to you and everybody on WhatNext.

Hey! I am hoping surgery went well today!! And that the blob proves to be something (easy) other than cancer. Like Bug, will be anxious to hear how you're doing as soon as you can let us know!

I hope this finds you recovering from your surgery and doing well. You're in my thoughts.
