Hey there. Glad you're still ticking! Yes I did chemo through the James. I was diagnosed last summer. SO happy to hear you're doing so well. If I may ask do you take any herbs? If so what kind? Any changes to your diet since your diagnosis? Have you done radiation? What was that like? I'm still deciding on that. Blessings, Tonya0April 2014

Hi Shelby, Thank you for the very nice welcome. You are right, I feel I am very happy and blessed to have found this group with such wonderful people as yourself, I also wanted to mention something to you about your Mom. My Dad went through something similar and for him we found out too late because not having fluids or protein caused him to go down quickly. Thanks to one special doctor he did receive relief. My father was given a feeding tube in his tummy. (Not the nose.) It was called a peg at the hospital nursing care facility, he received his fluids, proteins, and meds through the tube, His health was not the best but the tube was put in without any trouble. This helped to heal a bedsore he had been battling. Also, he was still able to eat and drink by mouth if he wanted. I could tell from your last comment how much you love your Mom. Maybe this could make it easier than IVs too. Again, thank you for your hello. You and your Mom will be in my prayers.0January 2014

Hi Shelby, thanks so much for your kind words. How are you and your mom doing this winter?0December 2013

Dear Shelby,
Much like your experience, my mom was recently diagnosed with adenocarcinoma following a routine hernia repair. They believe her cancer stems from the pancreas. (Thankfully her pancreas is free of cancer.) I don't know if you can answer this, but what is the likely hood of this diagnosis w/o any other cancer being found? Eight diagnostic tests/scans have shown no signs of cancer...which is a good thing, but it's very perplexing!
Thanks for listening.0December 2013 -
Happy Thanksgiving, Shelby. I hope you and your mom have a wonderful holiday!!0November 2013

Hi Buckeye. I have MRSA. I was told in August when i was going in for surgery. They didnt treat me for it. Called family doc when i came home. Had to get a certain soap & a prescribed lotion. Will be checked again soon to see if antibiotic is needed. I'm sure you probably know it doesnt respond to most antibiotics. Based on what i have read sounds like it has become very common if you've been hospitalized or in long term care facility. Makes me feel so much better about it. NOT!0November 2013
