Thanks, hope I do as well. Sounds like we have similar diagnosis. Have you finished radiation? Yes, we should compare notes, who are your dr's? My surgeon, Dr. Tewari has an office in Irvine.

Cancer is an evil foe. Doctors should not tell a patient it won't come back. I was told I had no cancer then after a radical hysterectomy, I was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma. Don't give up the ship. You're here and we will do everything we can to help. Fear is natural. I've stayed up at nights planning my obituary. That us no way to live. Look around for your blessings. God bless you.

The cuff area is the most common place for uterine cancer recurrence. You need to find out what is your cell type. Early stages of certain cell types have to be treated more aggressively than others due to the fact some cells are more malignant . I was stage Ia serous cells carcinoma and received 6 chemo treatments and 5 vaginal radiations. I met a nurse while having chemo who had the same diagnosis as I. Her Dr. told her she did not need further treatment due to the early stage she insisted on further treatments as she knew the cell type was aggressive and wanted to take no chances. She was not aware of the vaginal radiation that is recommend for our cancer and did not get it, she is still upset about this. I went for a second opinion about treatment to a major cancer center and came back home for treatments following their protocol. So far so good with both of us and keeping our fingers crossed and praying a lot. Let me know how you are doing. This place is a wonderful resource for good info an support. God be with you.
