My wife has been diagnosed with hurthle cell carcinoma. It was discovered during the removal of left node of thyroid. It was performed by ENT. The ENT wants to remove the other half immediately. We dont have an endocrinologist yet. Need advice on whether we should have a specialist surgeon do the rest of the surgery or let ENT finish the job. The ENT wanted to do the 2nd surgery just over a week after pathology came back. Very little time to arrange second opinions, but doing our best. Anyone happen to know of this type of cancer? Thank you.

I'd like to read what you decided. I just joined this site and am getting surgery in January. I hope her surgery went well!
