I didn't know. When they fed the formula in the hospital, I almost immediately had to go to the bathroom. They eventually sent me to a nutrionist who gave me a recipe to make my own "formula" at home. It did not work to well. I went from 115 lbs to 68 lbs in 6 months. Then I fell & broke my hip. Ortho doc said it was because I no meat on my bones. Ankles swelled up real bad. NP Ashley told me it was because I wasn't getting enough protein. Gave my self aspiration pneumonia. back in the hospital again. The antibiotics were giving me diahrrea & I already was down to 68lbs. Finally got a formula I can tolerate. Also a feeding machine (a Joey). HAHA. that is my husbands name. It is helping some. I have a long road to go.
