I’ve struggled, like many, with swallowing issues, tongue changes, taste changes and extreme dry mouth. I developed ORN of radiated jaw and had replacement surgery in July 2017 and spent most of 2019 in expensive dental procedures. Loss of my unguarded self and depression has been great with me.

I have not developed ORN yet. but no dentist will touch me. They said they will only remove a tooth if it is bothering me . They are afraid of giving me ORN. what were your symptoms? I little feeling on the left side of my mouth where they did they surgery & radiation fortunately because I have some very bad teeth. some have already crumbled. I'd like to know what to look for. thanks,

Sorry for all of your side effects. I have checked most of them off my list. I have not had ORN, it's about the only one I haven't had. I had all teeth removed AFTER radiation was over, they oncologist had a fit when she saw I was having teeth pulled by a regular local dentist. They wanted me to do an expensive procedure to save them, but I couldn't afford the 75K. Eventually, they were all pulled two at a time to be sure they healed before more were taken out. I was warned that I would likely have ORN, but luckily, I never have. I hope you continue to improve and recover.
