My medical history is 2004 stage 3 colon cancer and resection of my entire ascending colon and part of my illium. In 2007 I experienced an MI and a shunt was inserted into my right posterior coronary artery. in 2016 I received 45 external beam radiation treatments for prostate cancer. In 2020 I was diagnosed with squamous cell esophageal cancer. I was successfully treated and deemed in remission on March 27, 2021. In Oct. of 2020 I was given a PET scan and it was determined that I had both esophageal cancer and colon cancer. We chose to take on the esophageal cancer with radiation and chemotherapy. Upon the successful completion of the esophageal cancer we then shifted our focus to the colon cancer which had fortunately not metastasized over the last year while we were focused on the esophageal cancer. To complicate matters a bit I also experienced 2 bouts of pneumonia while being treated for esophageal cancer. The net result is that I am now on 2L of oxygen 24/7.
