COVID Vaccine- Johnson&Johnson One Shot

I heard a news report this morning that they are pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson 1 shot vaccine for the time being because of reports of blood clots after the shot. From the report I have heard, there are 6 reports in over 6 million shots administered, which sounds pretty miniscule BUT it's still a known potentially dangerous side effect. Apparently they are saying Heparin cannot be used on these blood clots if they occur. I am glad they are pausing the use.

I am only bringing this up because I know some people were excited that there was a one shot vaccine and have been looking diligently to secure appointments for the J&J shot. If you are in line for the J&J shot, you may either be delayed for awhile or you may want to look at getting an appointment for a Pfizer or Moderna shot if you want to be vaccinated right away.

We had Pfizer shots, no problems for anyone we know who got those.

@Teachertina. I think, for the most part, the vaccination effort is going well. I have had my first shot of Moderna vaccine. Just waiting for the second shot.

As I said, just mentioning that the J&J shot was being paused for a bit in case people wanted to get vaccinated right away. They may have to wait a bit.

I am not discouraging anyone or encouraging not to get vaccinated. Just saying be aware. Not beware- just be Aware.
