My turn for a medication question - Megace

We may be going a different direction than chemo, after I get a set of CT scans. Had an appointment with my oncologist, virtually, this morning. Rather than the traditional taxol/carboplatin, he thinks we might be better off with Megace. Anyone been on that one? I think it's akin to tamaxifin (or however it's spelled - I know a lot of our breast cancer survivors are on that one). It is an anti-estrogen drug.

Thanks for your attention.

Megace is not a cancer treatment. Might want to recheck the drug name.
"Megace is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of loss of appetite and wasting syndrome in people AIDS-Related Cachexia, breast cancer or endometrial cancer. Megace may be used alone or with other medications."
