Didn't have it. But I work for a third party administrator for medical, dental & vision insurance. If you were one of the members of one of our plans, I would suggest your doctor submit a pre-determination. Basically, it's like submitting a claim before services are rendered to see how the claim would pay out. Some of our plans show coverage. Others show neither coverage nor exclusion. You can also give your carrier a call. They should be able to tell you, if the info is available, or make a recommendation in the same vein as mine. Good luck, both with the insurance and with treatment.

My oral surgeon wanted me to have it done when I had to have all of my teeth surgically removed due to damage from radiation a couple of years after my treatment was over. They were afraid of the possibility that I wouldn't heal after tooth extractions. My insurance would not pay it so I couldn't have it done. Luckily, I healed just fine without it.

I have a friend that had the same diagnosis as I, he also had to have his teeth removed and his insurance was with VA, he was covered. It worked so well with him that his hair on his head started to grow again after him being bald for years.

We wish you the best. Why do they want you to have it? Tooth extractions?

Tried to get it covered by insurance but couldn’t, too expensive to pay out of pocket with all the other alternative therapies.
